Weird, I thought I had already left a review for this one. As you can see I put some time into the game by the way I rocked your leaderboard ;) 


The game is a blast, a big chaotic mess in a good way! It’s tough to ever know what’s going on and I’m sure there ways to cheese the enemy but my old man reflexes certainly can’t handle the ultra fast speed of the game. Everything looks, feels and sounds great. Nice work!

Thank you for playing! I'll check your scores out in a bit. I was kind of making the game for kids at my school to play as well, so that explains the really fast paced gameplay. But I feel like with some practice you could do great!

Fun game and I appreciate the extra effort with the main menu, managing sound and teh extra mode.  Crazy mode definitely the funnest way to play imo.

One thing I would wish for is the ability to show just a teensy bit more of the grid, as it is I felt like the chance to slam into bullets from offscreen whenever you moved was just a little too high.

Minor bug report, honestly doesn't affect my rating: I was able to just walk off the screen to the bottom right and the squares didn't seem to know what to do while I just sprayed the screen.  Side-benefit though it let me rack up around 35k points, lol.

yeah I think you can kind of go off the edges a little bit, but you don't ever actually go fully off screen. With the machine gun and bug bullets you can just fly around the edge of the screen and shoot inward. It's a good strategy, not a bug. Thanks for playing!

Very much enjoyed.  Really liked the attention to details like the menus, sound control, etc.  The game also played pretty well, though it would be nice to have a bit more of the game area visible in the camera.  There was also a case where starting the game sometimes immediately killed you from enemies spawning right there, but this was minor over all (I really liked how you could see the enemies as the game zoomed in upon hitting play, that was a very nice touch)

Very fun action game. The random power ups were fun. It felt like some spawns I would die as soon as it started without being able to do anything. It also felt really close and squares would just appear where I would run into the them and die or they would shoot and I would die which felt unfair since I would so little time to see and react to them. Or maybe I'm just not that good.

Great music and satisfying sound effects and is very fun.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, a lot of people have said the game is too hard with tbe enemies being able to shoot you from far away, so you aren't the only one.

The intro is pretty nice, the music and audio is cool. It was a bit too random for my taste tho, I would often spawn right on top of an enemy and moving around without dying felt more like luck than skill, the character would stand very close to the edge of the camera so moving around would often lead to dying to an enemy I had no time to see or react. The random events were cool, but again, a bit too random, like I didnt feel like had much agency over the game, stuff would happen and then I die. I feel it would have been nice have those events as power ups instead, where the player would pick up the big bullets and try to avoid the snail thing and playing the multiple time would help you unerstand what is good or bad and makes you better at the game.

Thank you for the feedback! I am going to make the camera snappier when the voting ends, but I think the point of the game was the randomness. I do like the idea of also having powerups you can pick up yourself though. I might also add some invincibility right after you spawn in.

Cool game! The controls felt good and I thought the art style was simple but nicely done, good color pallet as well. I also think the effect where the camera zooms in at the beginning was cool, but it did cause some problems a few times when an enemy spawned too near me and killed me before I could even see. I think something that might be helpful as well would be zooming the camera out a little or having some kind of indicator or minimap to give you an idea where enemies are as I got shot from offscreen with little time to react a few times. I think a little less easing on the camera would also be good so the player stays more in the middle of the screen as you're moving around. I think the difficulty feels good, but ironing out those few things would take it from being as much unfair hard to a fun challenge.

A camera zoom-out was requested a few times, but I think a mini-map would be better. I did try to make one of the events that can happen a camera zoom out/in, but cinemachine wasn't working with that. After that jam, I do have an idea for one more update (team mode), but I will also get in the minimap and I guess getting rid of some of the dead zone on the camera (the area where it doesn't move). Thanks for the feedback!

Sounds good! Since you're using cinemachine, you may want to check out using their state driven camera to swap between a zoomed in and zoomed out camera, that'd probably be the easiest way to do it.

This was a lot of fun! The fast-paced movement felt really good, and I really liked the machine gun powerup. I used a strategy of moving in a big circle around the enemies and firing inwards :)

Cool! Glad you liked it. Yeah, machine gun + big bullets is the best combo.  Pretty good start too! I usually just wait for machine gun & big bullets, then move around the edge of the map firing inwards.

Fun game. I would have liked if the camera was zoomed out more. I liked the zoom intro, and even the fact it was impossible to place on the scoreboard because every score was the max integer value (2147483647). Also the random powers were fun. It would have been nice if I could get on the leaderboard though. Overall I had fun. But if there was something to improve, it would be the camera zoom.

So glad to be on the leaderboard! Also I should add (forgot to mention before) I loved those death texts whenever you lose. I thought for sure they would repeat at some point, but they never did for me.

To your edit, I did love making those death messages. There are a total of 35, so I am pretty surprised that they didn't repeat! And good job on getting to the leaderboard! I knew that would be a fun addition.
