I couldn't focus on the gameplay because such fantastic vfx!
I'm just not sure if they were big enough.. wish there could be more on the screen.
Who need gameplay anyway?
I can see a lot of work put into procedural generation of those!
Overall It's a great idea.. just needs a little more work and opacity ^^
Mostly fun game!
Visual effects are a bit too overwhelming though. Also I noticed that my wizard shoots his spells only in one direction. Doesn't seem like it would chenge depending on mouse location or move direction.
The aim is actually generated and unique to each book but you don't have control of it which can feel weird considering we make u click to shoot. Thank you for your feedback and thanks for playing!
Fun game, special effects get a little on the way though.
a bit hard to get the hang of at first but afterwards its really fun!
Vampire survivor excepts AI generated Spellbooks??? Pretty fun!
It gets a little repetitive though, I hardly felt any difficulty playing for 6 minutes and the the game lagged too much so i didn't really finish lol (browser version is having a hard time with all those vfx).
Overall the feedback of the spells and killing the horde of goblins is really the best part of the game, i really think the book you're holding should be changed as well to create more variety in the way you play.
Haha we actually were originally designing it like that but decided against it for some reason
Thanks for playing! We tuned it to be easy for the jam but yeah we should have really tuned down the size attribute to generated spells... I think the AI always learns that bigger is better at killing gobs.
Wow, the VFX are just lit. I think the combat system needs more polish is either to easy or to hard, the only enemie is boring after a while, but i think the vfx compensate a lot
Feel free to check out my game
Really fun, I honestly love the concept and well executed!
SICKKKKK i would pay for this
with the big blue ball spell I was invincible.I wish it was a bit more challenging
overall nice work!
Game was fun but it seemed like there was no way for me to lose or think of any consequences of my actions. There could be a better balance of the powers you have like different reasons to use a spell
Chaos
Loved the concept! the game was lagging on browser though.
Great job!
Some crystals get stuck mid air, but damn I enjoyed it. Really nice convolluted experience
The visuals were really cool, but usually impossible to see through. Cool game though.
The game just screams HECK YEAH! So much visual effects. Love it.
(I only regret sitting in one spot and holding the left mouse for 5 minutes)
Thats a lot of GOBLINS!
Beautiful idea, game and MAGIC!
Only problem that my mage shoots only in one direction
So we realize in our haste(and lack of sleep) we uploaded only the .exe file for Gob Stopper Windows build to this itch.io page. The browser works fine but if you are interesting in the windows build here is a windows build that contains the files https://bimboi.itch.io/gob-stopper-exe-download-alternative.
5 STARS
Absolutely incredible, a lot of fun
just at high levels it's impossible to see where the goblins are because of all the spell effects.
Lmao yeah it gets a little visuallyinsane, thanks for playing :D
That's really cool :) Gives me some Vampire Survivors vibes. Runs also pretty smooth
it doesn't start :(
O: Browser or exe? Also what browser if browse?
I downloaded the exe in the itch app i'll try with the web version
Oh interesting... I will look into that, thanks for reporting.
