Good job on completing the game! Unfortunately, I was not able to get very far. I think one of the main issues was the acceleration (speed up very slow, then suddenly very fast) and that results in difficulty in placing jumps. Additionally, you can pretty easily get out of bounds and get lost, which made me manually close and restart the game multiple times.

On the other hand, this is a game jam, it's still very impressive to have completed what you did, and as long as you had fun, that's all that matters!

Hey! Congrats on completing the jam!

While I understand the idea behind your game, there are some things that you could improve:

  • Controls. As many people said before me, there are problems with jumps :D I guess that your 'isGrounded' variable gets resetted every time the player collides with any wall, so when you hit Space you can jump infinitely. I don't know which method to check ground you are using, but my guess will be to give your walls a different tag/layer than the floor. And, again, as many people said before, the player's speed increases too much during the jump, so that I didn't even have to use platforms in Level 3, I just jumped them over without even touching;
  • Visuals. I think it is not a bad thing to use simple figures and even primitives. It gives a minimalistic look to your game, but in that case you need to make your visuals stylish;
  • Perspective. I guess this thing can be very subjective, but it was very tough for me to tell the depth of where my character currently is in the scene. So often I ended up jumping to a platform and falling, and then realising that it is a bit more far from the camera than my character is.

Anyway, good job and keep it up!

Nice game!

Nice, simple game.

The movement needs a bit of work, I was getting some crazy speeds when I jumping, including the super jump when I touched the side of an object. There were probably too much invisible walls and level 3 was a bit difficult to beat traditionally.

Although Level 3 probably fit the theme the most, as I had to die repeatedly to rotate the blocks so they were high enough to jump over and die again to get back to the sphere.

If this is your first game nice job! The ambient music is relaxing and the platforming mechanic is fun to play. Maybe next time more levels but still a good job! :)

Found some interesting bugs (not sure if they are intentional) like one in which I could jump super high (good that there were shadows, I could see where I am landing) and I could stick to the ceiling of platforms. Nevertheless, it was all fun!

Good job on making your first game! It has nice and simple gameplay and I like the green platforms. You should use a colour palette generator for your art though, it's an easy way to make your games look a lot nicer. Here's one that I use.

Nice work! (:

Nice job finishing your game! I noticed on your profile that this is your first upload. Are you going to make more in the future? I liked how in level 2 there was a part where I fell and couldn't see my player but I could still see where I was going because of the player shadow. That could be a cool idea to use in another jam. Keep it up!

yeah i plan on making more games in the future

I think you can make your game look good by using proper colors... visual wasn't very good.. but it's fun to play

the 3rd level doesnt reset properly, I ended up having to fly myself over and hopefully land on the button. other than that, nice game.

Gotta love to see the platformers! ^^

Interesting game! I enjoyed a lot of the platforming mechanics. Level 3 is my personal favorite.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest adding a way to quick restart levels. I got launched by the yellow platform in level 2 and went offscreen and had to restart. I also suggest making the GUI text bigger, I have a large monitor and everything came out really small.

Overall, cool game!

Done all the levels two or three times. Game looks quite nice :) Player movement can use some polish, IMO it's too unresponsive: faster acceleration would make it much better in my opinion. There are some occasional bugs, like you can shoot yourself into the air by holding jump when touching an legde's edge with capsule's side - but it's game jam, whatever :) I really liked level design, each puzzle works differently and provide different challenge. Overall, simple but still fun, good job! :)

The game is fun but the contols are bad.

For the first time its great, good job!

Wow, it's your first time? Then it's a really good start, keep up the good work!

well, I found  a bug
so I was stuck in what looked like invisible walls beneath the light blue plateform (lvl 1) and then I made a biiiiiig jump I made the light blue platform fly away and went out the map

well done

Ran into a glitch that shot me off the map, but I guess that's to be expected for a game jam lol. It's a bit rough, but not a bad idea for a game :)

interesting physics system! I like the experimental kind of feel!

Great game, loved the visuals!
