Hard to get a hang of, but once you understand it is fun and challenging :) I look forward to seeing its evolution!

Great graphics and sound. Very tricky to master that pickpocketing technique.

I was thinking what if the character traveled around the world and into the present and future, like with robot guards and drones and bazaars and shopping malls.  It would be fun to make those settings and characters.

Very neat!  Once I got the hang of the timing, the pickpocket mechanic was quite fun!  Well done!

City design is really amazing! Successful pickpocket is hard, nonetheless gameplay is nice. Audio is pleasant - matched to game mood. Really good game, I can't take my eyes off city... :))

Thx for all the feedback. I know the game is too hard, unfortunately there was not much time for balancing. The post jam version will be easier and gives more hints at what to do and when.

I wasn't sure how to succesfully pickpocket anyone...tried to do it as soon as they became distracted, and was out of sight of the cop, but they always got alerted and I never got money. I liked the art and the concept.

Lovely ending: "Bill Sikes cuts your throat and dumps you in the river." :)

Pretty fun, and a great use of the source material. Maybe you could have added a "Stop, thief!" voice bubble to further reference the novel.

Very nice.

I really enjoyed this little game. My timing is terrible and I struggled to make more than 15 pounds during the rounds, constantly getting caught and having to hide. Really enjoyed the art style, and I love the silly police arm movement.

@Jupiter_Hadley You have to start pickpocketing soon after they start talking/window shopping. When they start walking again and you're still stealing they call for help.

I cant seem to get any money :( I included it in part 2 of my Public Domain Jam compilation video series, if you'd like to take a look :) http://youtu.be/EmwIs9vWlzE

Loved the graphics after seeing them for the first time on Twitter! Well polished game.
