nice name.

I loved the idea and execution overall!
The ship building feels satisfying and the controls feel really unique and functional.
The music works really well and the art looks really good!

In terms of feedback:
I think, while the ship building is really cool, it can be a bit annoying to have to build a ship at the start of every run since it can take a while. Maybe it would be cool to have the option to run with that same ship or build a new one, although I understand that might cause people to not engage with the ship building or just try to get the most "optimal" layout.
In my first run it seems like I built below what is actually permitted? I had secondary thrusters one level down from my main one, and I got stuck and couldn't even take off lol!
The lateral stabilizers felt a bit too jumpy for me in the context of the game. They work kind of like a dash but I think it would feel a bit better if they worked more like your other thrusters but for your sides. I feel like that would leverage the familiarity the player builds with the thruster controls to have a more "reliable" component.

Great entry, keep up the good work!

This is some really thoughtful feedback. Thank you!

Loved ship building!

Even though it was annoying not getting the part I want and when it shows up its for the wrong side :( I guess there are not that many parts otherwise..

I might suggest you add extra storage slot where I can buy and put one part in advance and attach to the ship latter.

And since the score is based on height you could use data received from LootLocker and display them in-game so I could sometimes see the names of people I'm about to beat.

All excellent suggestions. Thank you!

I like the idea of the game! Its a cool concept and fun idea with having to take randomized parts! I'm not sure if it's a browser issue or maybe a skill issue even, but I found it tedious putting parts onto the ship. It felt really precise as to where I had to drag it.

There's definitely a bit of a (not-so-intentional) learning curve to the ship builder. If we move forward with this, we'll def revamp the system for ease of use. Thanks for your feedback?

Submitted(+1)

If you move forward with it let me know! I'd love to continue playing it :D

That ? was meant to be a !, btw. Thank you for your feedback!!!

Oh good lmao! I was so confused I thought I said something rude on accident so I was going over my previous comment, and then I was like oh my god I better make sure this person knows I like their game I don't want to hurt them 0-0

I am a HUGE fan of these rocket builder games. I love it! Unfortunately i found it quite hard to turn, and also, i could not delete parts.. (sell) And when i dragged down the rocket i just instantly died... (?) Overall VERY GOOD! I love it! :)

thank  you so much! I'm really glad you liked it. We were definitely tuning the parts' attributes right up to deadline, so there's still room to improve. We also decided (mostly to control dev scope) that ship building would be place-and-commit, without an undo feature. Your feedback is excellent, and we'll def consider more flexible building, moving forward.

Also, the bugs. Oh, the bugs... thank you for reporting! lol

Really fun game! I love the sound and the models for the rocket modules. The only problems I faced were the parts not snapping properly and there was a bug where you could drag the rocket by mistake to the top and it'd immediately die and you'd lose your rocket. Other than that it's a great game!

Appreciate the feedback! Thank you

Dude this was a lot of fun! Both building the ship and driving it were very satisfying :) Nice music as well, overall a great entry!
Also I'm glad I've made it to the podium, for now at least :D

That's awesome. Thanks for playing! Congrats on your placement :D

Awesome game! Some major Kerbal space program vibes too! Super frustrating when the wrong parts kept coming up, but that made it a much more fun challenge! I got high scores with some unexpectedly horrible looking ship designs too hah

(+1)

Haha StretchCodes spent a LOT of time tuning the probabilities of all the modules appearing. We definitely wanted some balance between looking for that perfect part, but always having a decent decision to make. (Hint: you'll always have a four-connector module in your hand!)

Submitted(+1)

Ooooooh that makes a lot of sense! To be honest i think the randomness was kinda perfect, and the budget balancing was great too because I always had to find a compromise between what i was looking for and what was available, which lead to some interesting designs haha

Nice Game ! just finding part position is a bit hard but overall a very nice game a bit like space flight simulator

The part snapping reliability is definitely something we'd like to polish. It was made entirely off-the-dome, but if we carried the project forward we might use a plugin. There's definitely some trigger collider gore under the hood.

Very cool idea! Finding the correct position to attach parts seems a bit finicky, which makes building take way longer than it needs to. If the building aspect worked more smoothly I'm sure I would've played some more iterations. Actually testing out different combinations and improving/flying the ship is great fun!

(+1)

Thanks dude! Build mode was a from-scratch experiment, so def buggier than hoped for. This seems to be common feedback, so we'll definitely give it some tlc if we move the project forward.

Loved your game, btw.

Love the idea! The drag control to build ship seems buggy

I spend so much time playing, trying improvements and all! Really liked the game, the gameplay is 100%, would love to see more spaceship parts added and also more sprites and backgrounds elements. Amazing job!

That's so awesome! Thank you for playing <3

Great idea for the game, the only issue i have is that the draggin parts feels a bit buggy, but overall i think its amazing that you pulled of this in 3 days congrats

Submitted(+1)

I think i found a bug. When I drag the ship up during the build phase, a leaderboard appears and i can only restart.

Good catch! Thanks for the feedback :)

The game systems are very well thought. Engaging and atmospheric.

So sad to fail around score 300 with the ship built for the past 5 minutes

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! And ya, it's a good point you make. If we continue to iterate on this game, maybe there's a world where we let you quickly restart a failed run using your last built ship. Thanks for the feedback.

I loved the building system. In fact we spent more time building our ship then we did in the air.  We are on the top 10 tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Nice job!!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the kind words! And congrats on making top 10!

Really cool building system with the random cards, loved it! Kerbal vibes but quick and effective. The music was great too!

That's awesome. Thanks!

Loved the aesthetics of the this game. Was a little tough to get the ship parts to click into place though as it wasn't always obvious where to drag them to for it to registe rthe connection. Game was fun!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed it!
