Cute game, and I like the atmosphere created by the assets you chose. For me, it was far too much standing and waiting around - I wished as the player I had something more to do beyond waiting for my energy to charge.

Hell yeah, this is awesome for a huge vaporwave fan like me. This jam has been very kind to the synth enjoyers. This game is awesome - charming, funny, oozing personality, and controls smoothly. I did get stuck at the button mashing part (just not fast enough for the last "truth") but this game is awesome and the soundtrack/audio design rules!
Addicting entry! Very chill experience. Sometimes I experienced an issue where one of my tools would be consumed but not placed, so I had to go to menu and back in to reset the level, but this was easy with the load game feature. My favorite detail, and what really kept me playing, was the fact that the soundtrack evolved with each level. And this is coming from a fellow synth enthusiast - I was bopping my head as I played!
Ahh this activated my middle school nostalgia...stick figure wars with my buddies, lined paper, and that "S". Awesome! The music and art rules! It was fun playing with the different weapon types. It was a little too easy overall, it felt like it didn't matter what weapon I used ultimately. If you were to expand this, enemies that are more immune/vulnerable to different weapon types would be a fun addition!
Really cool unique idea! As a big card/board game person, this was an awesome mashup of genres you'd expect to conflict with each other (but worked really well together). I definitely want to see a more fleshed out version of this with more clarity and readability. I'd love to see more mechanics and synergies in the cards as well, perhaps ways to chain together combos and generate more energy. Of course, it needs a ripping fast soundtrack too!
Easily one of my favorites of the jam! The art style, music, ominous atmosphere, enemies, and narrative really did it for me. It had a great escalation of threats, and perfect length for a game jam. This is also one of the coolest interpretations of the theme. I liked that the player is what wards the enemies off. If I could change anything, it would be tightening up some of the enemy behaviors and level design. It wasn't always clear to me how to get past the imps, and even the enemies on the wall there were some frustrating moments where I moved an inch too far one way and knew there was no way to turn around without getting all three spirits following me eaten.
Anyway, excellent job!
I kept dying for unknown reasons BUT I will say I can see a lot of work and care went into this project. The 3d models are cool, there are moments where it's fun to control the cars, and there's a cool system of leveling up/multiple cars with different stats. And as a musician, I appreciate that you made original music for this.
Cool game and artstyle, unique movement, addicting game loop. I enjoyed mastering the shift ability. The shooting ability was really fun too - trying to line up as many enemies as I could. I wish the enemy projectiles stood out a LITTLE more visually so they could be more easily tracked in peripheral vision, but this was really fun.
Awesome, relaxing experience with the soundtrack, but still has some peaks of frantic excitement. Reminded me of mini metro but in a streamlined jam form. Excellent jam experience with effective tutorial. I would have liked to see one or two levels that forced me to think more carefully about the pathing, since it was pretty clear which nodes needed to be encrypted and what the paths should be from the start of each level.

The controls were tough at first but I kind of came to appreciate them. For such a simple time based racing game, figuring out the odd control scheme IS the game, and I think it captured the indirect control one would have over horses pulling a chariot. Also award for most unique mode of transport in this jam goes to you imo. Nice job!
Awesome, enjoyed this. It had charm and it was really relaxing. I didn't feel like there was any way to lose so adding some light tension might make it a bit more interesting. BUT it was an addictive little experience with the nice acoustic soundtrack and creative gameplay loop. It felt like a more active cookie clicker-style game.

Hi everyone - I'm interested in joining a team for this jam. I've taken part in 10+ game jams at this point, here's a quick sample:
For this jam, I'd love to dive into something weird, synthy, liminal, psychedelic. Here' some more ambient music I've made:Let me know if you like my style and have need of a musician!
