Good job with the pixel art! but the attacking is a bit weird and no sound.

The art and animations are really good, I found attacking to be challenging. I didn't like how Anya would stop to attack. It would be nice if it felt more fluid. I think the game is absolutely gorgeous and has potential! I wasn't sure if the pit at the start would kill you so I walked down it, to me it felt like something I can go down. I'm not sure perhaps its just me! Keep up the good work!

The art style is really good and the animations are so smooth, good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! All of the art were outsourced though! :D

Good job ! I think the controls feel a bit weird, like attacking didn't always seem to register correctly, otherwise this looks like it has good potential!

Thanks for playing! We are working on the bugs you mentioned

looks great. i use laptop so it’s kinda hard attacking, tho nice work. I did find you can jump up and the enemies move, so you could lure them off the edge

Developer

I understand! I should add controls for attacking using just the keyboard as well! The enemy bug had to do something with the collider, we fixed that! Thanks for your feedback!

the art style is really good!!!!, only problem that it looks kinda gray, the gameplay is kinda jank, like you can run up slopes kinda jank, attacking is also jank, pretty good!!

Developer

Thanks! We will enhance gameplay as we playtest more often and refine the settings

The art style is really captivating, I love how 3 dimensional the player character looks for being pixel art. I had a hard time telling what I was attacking with some of the general floaty-ness and lack of sound, but this is a start to a cool game!

Thanks for your feedback! Yes we did notice that bug and we are working on it

Hey good job for the game! I really appreciated how you managed to bring the art and the gameplay together in a cohesive game.

I would like to hear some music and sound effects, probably this would upgrade a game to a whole new level.

Good job overall :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes, we are working on the audio as well

Great job on the art!  Like what others said, the controls felt clunky. I personally don't like using the space bar for jump but that is just my personal preference.

Thanks for your review , we didn't have the time to play test the player settings, we will updated once the jam is over.

This game looks fantastic, really really cool art that works together. The controls and movement feels a little clunky but imagine that can be worked on easily over time. The boss fight was also really well balanced. Nice job. Definitely could polish this up into a really cool demo/full game.

Thanks for your feedback, we are thinking of  polishing and adding  features to make it a full game. I will work on this when i get the time, let me know if you can suggest some cool features that i can add.

Unfortunately no sound! :(

The art is awesome, you did a great job picking out things that felt similar enough to avoid having a game that looks aesthetically incoherent!

I think the biggest challenge is mostly game-feel. Some things aren't communicated too well, like, for example, the small enemies' attacks, making it difficult to predict when you'll get hit. This gets a bit more troublesome in the boss fight, since he does more damage and attacks pretty quickly. You could maybe add some wind up time by holding a frame of animation for a bit, to communicate things more clearly to the player.
Jumping and movement in general feels a bit floaty. You could add a more dynamic gravity curve so that the jump feels snappier, as well as some acceleration time to the player's movement and stopping.
Also I found a bit of a bug: I hit one of the small enemies with the heavy attack and they started sliding backwards infinitely. It was kind of funny but it might be something you want to check out!

Keep up the good work, you could have something very cool with a bit more polish! :)

Hey thanks for your feedback! We noticed the enemy bug you spoke about, something wrong with the players collider and the enemy's reacting to it, and the player settings is not ideal because we didnt playtest it properly, and the player feedback on hits and enemy's hint before their attacks. A lot of fine tuning is required and we are working on it.
