Really clever idea of controlling a few characters simultaneously and very satisfying matching visuals with old TVs.

I think it just needs a little bit of balancing around number of characters and how keeping them alive affects score. And fixing some bugs and collisions: my guys kept squeezing through obstacles when I just pressed forward, and carts stopped moving after score around 12000.
It is a solid jam entry and can be very unique game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We are already working on some fixes you've already mentioned here like the collision problems, the difference in increasing the score to be more visible, and a few more!

Great entry! The art looks really nice, atmospheric. Found a bug where I can just hold forward and glitch through objects. I think it could be interesting if there were some collectables along the way.

Developer

It has some bugs that we are aware of, it's pretty easy to encounter them when you want a lot of stuff in a short period, but I hope you had a great time trying our game!

Risky gameplay idea. My experience was way more into the frustration than fun territory, as I don't have enough eyes and brain threads to coordinate movement between this many characters, so I didn't feel like I'm in control at all. Game became more manageable once only one character was left, but then it wasn't all that fun or engaging.

Didn't sit all that well with me, but I'm leaving a high aesthetics rating, as the table is very cozy :).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, yeah, it's pretty hard to play right now because you have to spread your attention on multiple screens very fast to see how to coordinate your workers, I couldn't do it too for more than a few seconds. I will try to think of some ways to make this feel more comfortable.

My best score: 2721~

Gameplay: 4

Very unique idea, it just felt extremely hard to keep many people alive at the same time, i first thought that you could control each one separately :D

Theme: 5

They do be running from the darkness

Aesthetics: 5

The entire tv concept is really cool and well put together:)

Sound: 3

The music is ok, i just feel like there should be more sound effects

Overall a really solid game, great job, i hope you guys had fun making it:)

We had a great time doing this game, from the ideas that kept coming to the funny bugs found while testing the game, it was awsome. Thanks for playing and hope you liked it!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting concept! After a while with only one screen left i just focused on it, but even when collecting the golden orbs the other screens stayed offline.. Great job though, well done!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, is one of the bugs that we haven't had enough time to fix unfortunately, but I hope you had some fun, and thanks for playing!

Very creative implementation with mutiple screens.
One downside I see is if I can't keep all workers alive I would just focus on one screen ignoring the core mechanic.

Developer

The benefit of having multiple workers alive is that the score grows faster, and because the map will increase it's speed over time too, it's important to keep as many as you can alive. Thanks for the feedback and your time to try out this game!

Interesting concept. But the darkness destroys objects faster than it kills the player, so it becomes possible to run when they are destroyed.

Developer

Yep, there might be some small issues because of the lack of time, we will try to fix them in the future, thanks!

I like the whole feel of the game, the sounds and the effects are very good. Also liked the gameplay, but i think you could add some variation for the screens just to be more appealing, but overall very good! Goodjob :)

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Cool concept, both with the menues but also the gameplay. Got a bit stale after a while though and I think my game bugged so I could barely lose. Still really cool game so well done!

Developer

There are a few, one of the biggest we found was solved with 10 minutes before the deadline =)))

Submitted(+1)

Very cool concept and nice and creative presentation. Even with very basic gameplay it quickly gets very hectic. Great job!

Also small tip for next time: If you put your game files directly into a .Zip (without a parent folder) the game can be installed & played via the itch client. Obviously WebGL build would be even better!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion, I am pretty new to itch so this helps a lot :))

I am on Mac, cannot play only Windows games.
Good luck for you 👋.

Thanks, same for you!

I like the concept of the game, its really hard and the movement bugs when you collide but i get it because of the time limits, i just wanna say im not a big fan of using AI to make game art, not just because of the ethics of it but because it looks kind of bad, the whole game is presented inside of a big midjourney screen and i thinks it really affects the aesthetics of it all

Developer (1 edit)

I appreciate the feedback, but just one mention there, the only thing that was made with AI was the menu image (because 3 days is a pretty short period), and after that, it was edited, effects were added and so on, all the other assets were hand made by someone in our team.  Anyway, thanks for lending us some time to try it, hope you liked the gameplay!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah i know but you look constantly the image, but thats my only issue, the mechanics of the game and all they were really good and i enjoyed the gameplay, i understand the time issues so i didnt had it in mind rating the game, overall great job

Developer

Thanks a lot!

I really like the game, it gets pretty hard really fast! I was honestly kinda let down that I didn't lose after losing one of my guys. I feel like continuing after losing one of your dudes makes it too easy. You should definitely double down on making this really difficult! If you continue the project (which I think you should) you can theme each screen different to be a little different, one could be a miner, another could make be a guy driving a car, so much fun I love it! Just make it more difficult for me ;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! We have some plans for this game as you said, different themes maybe for each screen, more traps, maybe trying to use the mouse to move things or destroy them, but we will see :)

Submitted(+1)

Sounds good! But I think the game is better without destroying things! Moving things would be really cool though, simple block push puzzles would become immensely hard! I like it very much!

Developer(+1)

You may be right about not adding the destroying stuff, it was just a thinking anyway, for now what this game needs it's a little polish and optimization =))

Can't wait to see more!!
