The game worked at first, but then stopped working right about when I started to understand it :(
I like the concept
What do you mean by "stopped working"? did it crash? I'm quite curious
After collected some stuff, right about when I realized I was supposed to collect based on what the phone says (I think), the UI just quit on me completely. None of the buttons worked, (I was in full screen). And it was still broken on refresh. I don’t think this is your fault, I think it’s Unity’s. Therefore I rated the game on the gameplay I got to see. I think I understand the game enough.
Edit: I decided to read the description and changed this post because I realize you play as a collector, you got 5 stars on theme now. (And the UI still hates my browser or something)
Thanks for the five stars! I wonder why the ui seemed to stop working, didn't happen for me during my playtesting. It's probably unity's fault as you said, or something along the lines of that.
neat concept not sure if not enough "big shot" myself to make it to leader boards. but amazing execution.
Everyone got their inner big shot. I'm glad that you liked it!
Hot damn, this is awesome. I like how fast it goes, made the game feel like pure chaos. Kick ass!
I'm really glad that you liked the game!
Took the theme super literally, really cool concept
Thought of it as soon as i knew the theme, i'm a bit of a collector myself hehe
I feel like the trends show up too fast, I feel like if they had time to breathe and have a notification tab whenever the trends changed there would be much better balance, I like the use of stock photos but you should consider not getting images from google as you might not necessarily have permission to use those. Other than that I like the idea a lot!
Im glad that you found my interpretation of the theme good! I thought about making the game slower, making it more like an idle game, but i figured that no one would be able to play it for a longer period then 20 minutes. Thanks for the feedback!
Original take on the theme, but I feel it needs some polish. Like there could be some more indication, when you're about to fail on your bills. Maybe it could be slower too? Or maybe I just suck at it :)
As I mentioned- I like the idea! And I really like the randomly generated popups on the phone. Hideki Kamiya showed mild disinterest in video games in my playthrough, so that's not something you see every day :)
Im glad that you liked the idea! I was trying to make an indicator for when your about to pay your bills, but i didn't have time, was busy fixing my bugged event system that really likes trading cards
Buy low sell High!
Thought it was a neat Idea,, funny memes.
Like how if you take a big risk when something is low in price it can set you up for disaster.
For such a UI heavy game though I would have appreciate a bit more visual and audio feedback. When clicking and little more though about the presentation of the collectables.
all in all good entry that fits the theme in a creative way
kinda dificult to understand but if you work on the art it will be amazing
Great idea for the game, but for me personally gameplay is too fast (maybe I am too slow).
This game could be a full-on steam release given the right art. Keep developing it!
Also, please check out and rate my submission
The concept is really interesting, I feel there is potential and it could be developed even more to make some sort of simulator. Really uses the "collect" theme. Waiting to see the next trend and stuff. Cool concept!
Surprisingly addicive.
Sorry if there isn't a proper tutorial, didn't have enough time to make one. Some questions some of you have asked for future reference: one bigshotness meter = 1000 dollars, your bigshotness is increased after you've paid your bills. The prices in the shop are changed in the background, but not visually, you have to update them with the refresh button (i did this because realtime visual prices would make the news obsolete). Also, if you face the bug where everyone suddenly loves trading cards, sell everything related to anime
Awesome idea for this theme, but this is this sort of game that definitely needs some kind of tutorial or introduction (good that in the description there is something) also it sadly doesn't have leaderboard (at least I haven't found one). Overall good and definitely creative :D
It is quite a difficult game, especially for me whose mother tongue is not English. However, the game mechanics look entertaining, I still don't understand the big-shoot concept but I imagine it's because of my lack of expertise in speaking English. has potential :)
Good on theme, a bit hard on the gameplay.
I understand the idea behind it, but as far as I know it is impossible to see how much you would sell a certain item for. My tactic was just buying the cheapest thing and selling it as much as possible whenever the category got mentioned but you can't simply wait for the category to get mentioned because the items on your shelf will drain your money insanely fast.
There surely is potential in this kind of game if the rough edges get polished.
I managed to get about 2000 BigShotness which got me a nice quote from Indiana Jones :P
Great job on submitting to the jam,!
Im sorry if i made the selling part unclear, you would see how much an item would go for in the shop after you've hit the refresh button. Thanks for the feedback!
Difficult to understand but well done!
Nice idea for the theme! gameplay was complex.
Very cool game played this for a while!
This is a really cool concept, and so far my favorite interpretation of the theme. I'd say the only problem is I don't yet fully understand the UI and I'm not sure I like manually updating the prices, but other than that, this is a cool game.
