I agree a lot with the other comments, beautiful game but the UI is a bit hard to understand! I do like that you made the UI match the aesthetic of the game doe :] Overall stunning animations, visuals and music, had a great time with dirty colosseum
This one looks great! You've really cultivated a great and creepy style. The menus are a bit difficult to understand, and I found myself floundering a little bit to get my bearings on what's going on, but once I found the appropriate buttons it was really fun. The difficulty is a bit overtuned, but this really oozes style! Great work!
One of the best looking games for sure! Nice animations, feels very retro. However, the UI especially at the main menu was really difficult to read/understand. I thought i was in the game and tried to move around. I did eventually figure out the buttons to press but they're quite a "messy handwriting" style thats hard to read.
I wanted to like the gameplay mechanics, but it was a bit too "slow" and clunky. Sometimes that's part of the PS1 vibe but It felt too hard, and I couldn't even tell who's health was who's or what level health was at. so gameplay is really the only thing I think that I rated lower. Otherwise visually great, nice animations and sounds, i'd love to see this more fleshed out.
If attacks happened "faster" like as soon as i press it it moves, it may feel better. It felt i pressed it and the animation took a while to kick in and felt slow. Maybe that's intended though?

Genuinely one of the most fun jam games I’ve played. Great work!
Love the visuals, especially the main menu animations! I didn’t quite get the controls, and I think I was only able to land a hit after dodging once, even when I dodged multiple attacks. Also, I don’t think the game fits the theme much, but it definitely has its own unique vibe!
this game iv very well animated and very well stylised, best that I have seen.
though for gameplay, I see that you are trying to make a game similar to Punch-Out, but there isn't really much pattern, don't know how I can dodge them or if there's indication on how I'm supposed to dodge it, I don't even think my punches are doing anything, so I end up losing again and again.
with a bit more time and trying implement attack patterns and knowing health bars, this would be a very solid game to play.
Over all I'm not sure what to make of this game. The atmosphere is really cool. But the hand written/ sloppy instructions were a bit much. The controls were a bit difficult so I just started button mashing.
The game looks great but it wouldn't let me fullscreen and I felt like when I dodge they hit me anyways and I couldn't tell if the game knew what I was doing
