The mechanics are extremely polished and the puzzle design is perfect. In the top 10 for sure!

Wow! This is good! I loved it. The art is so nice and cure and that death animation really emphasize this XD.  The puzzles are also pretty fun to solve. This game feels polished and complete. Probably will end as one of the winners of this jam. Really well done!

This is great! The artwork is adorable and the opening animation blew me away, it's the most impressive-looking visual I've seen from this jam by far. Great use of the theming as well! Overall, I would not be surprised if this ends up as one of the winners.

This was fantastic!  Art is amazing, and the mechanic was executed so well.  I was genuinely sad when I finished - it was so fun that I didn't want to stop playing :^)

God, the art is so beautiful, and the menu theme is an absolute jam (no pun intended)! Not related to the game but I think the blue text on your itch page does a really nice job of emphasizing the iciness of the game/theme.

This is my favorite entry I've played so far. Elements like the flames making your frozen droplets disappear are just so well thought out. Every aspect of this game is handled really well, from the art and sounds to the gameplay itself - I absolutely love the feel of the jump and the animation is *chefs kiss*.

Seriously, incredible work here, you should be proud!

Great take on the theme and well integrated into the puzzles. Also stunning animation, it's so cute and bouncy!

Thanks for the great feedback - glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely gorgeous! We had a similar idea when we were brainstorming but didn't end up following the concept of freezing a character in place; I really like thematically playing a lil' drop and how tight the experience is. Controls fantastically and your ability as the player to build the stage is really neat. I think the section where the heating elements is introduced could have had that level by itself, without the following button (for the sake of balance and progression) but one of my favs of the jam! Fantastic work y'all, especially for your first project!

Thank you- we're really glad you enjoyed it! Cool to hear you were considering a similar idea too. We really love what you have gone with.

Great feedback about that level as well. We're considering doing a post-jam update to do some fine tuning and add some more simple levels to introduce each mechanic, so we'll definitely revisit that one while looking at the overall progression / balance. Coincidentally, I actually hid a secret switch to turn off the heating elements in that very level (mostly for my own satisfaction haha), but it's definitely not easy to find unless you're actively looking for it...

Thanks again for playing and for the encouragement - we'll definitely be doing another jam in future!

Art, sound and the way you implemented the jam theme is truly outstanding

Developer

Thank you, that's great to hear.  Really glad you enjoyed it!

one of the best entries in my opinion, graphics and art look great and dynamic, the freeze drop game mechanic you need to use to solve the puzzles is spot on, and there are even minute cool details, like the drop defreezing and disappearing after a while if near the fire.

5/5

Great game! I love the transitions and the dot-matrix display so much. This feels very polished. I wonder if I would have been able to play it on my original Nokia… I mean, with the keypad and all. Great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you - that's very kind!

It would definitely be a stretch to play something like this on an original Nokia, particularly with that tiny keypad - but on the plus side, the phones were virtually indestructible if you ever needed to throw one out of frustration haha

The game is so GOOD !

One of my favorites

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We're considering updating it post-jam with a few extra mechanics and more chambers, so that's good to hear. Glad you enjoyed!

Challenging game! Thoroughly enjoyed the animations. :) Also, congratulations on making your first game!

I really like the filter and freezing yourself to use later is very fun and unique. Great job!

Thanks for playing!

I liked the graphics and mechanics. I just thought the difficulty level progression was a little high for a man who already had a Nokia lol

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! We grew up with Nokias and we can agree that you'd definitely need to be pretty dexterous to pull off precision platforming on one haha

👏 loved it!

I love the puzzle mechanism: you get it quickly. Also, you push the animation of things so the game is very enjoyable.

Congrats

Developer

Thank you!
