This was fun!  I liked the effect on the tiles, too. That gave them some depth.

If the hook moved a little faster, you could even start chaining together moves. And it would speed up the pace of the puzzles again. I think a mechanism to look around, too, would be helpful. It was easy to lose track of the keys, so I ended up just trying a bunch of angles to grab it.

I think the music was a little too much for the game. Even when I lowered the volume, it made me a little stressed :D It would be perfect for a boss fight, though!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely incorporate it if I expand this game in the future. It's easy to forget that not everyone has the levels memorized. The music was sort of last-minute. I had been expecting to have more time and didn't have time to compose a new track for the game. As a result, I used a song I had made awhile ago that I felt fit the game.

I liked the idea but I couldn't go past the first pit right after the first key locked door. Using only that slow tentacle wall grab it seems impossible. Am I missing something?

Developer

If you land on the wall on the left side of the pit, you should be able to grab the ground across the pit to get past it.

I did, but gravity kept bringing me down faster than the pull brought me right, so I always ended up hitting the right wall of the pit. I heard someone say you should make your jam games easy, and I know I should have listened to that advice myself x)

Doesn't work for me... Remember you can fix game breaking bugs it's all owed

Developer

Do you have any more information? Is there an error when you try to launch it, or does nothing happen?

Submitted

Nothing happens, I waited for about 30 seconds

The idea is super cool, reminds me of Carrion. Squids or Octopods are always fun!

I cann't play your game :(
It doesn't run at all and I don't know why...

It's sad because I love games where you can play as a Octopus!

Developer

Does the game just not launch, or is there an error message that appears?

Submitted

No error message or anything. I run window 10 pro (If that helps...)

I’m using Windows 10 64-bit and I was unable to get it to run. Starting the .exe had no effect. I see that this game was created using XNA, which is like, dead? So I think either it does not support Windows 10, or it only runs on 32-bit systems.

Developer

That's strange, as I am also running 64-bit Windows 10. It should have the required dependencies with it as far as I am aware. The only things not packaged with it are part of the .NET Framework 4. I just uploaded a build with those included to see if that fixes the problem. Could you try it again with the new build?

Submitted

I tried downloading it again, but same thing, nothing happens when the .exe file is opened. It’s weird because if there’s missing framework files, it should show an error, but nothing happens at all and no message was shown even when running from the command line. Seems that some others were also unable to run the game, I’m not sure why. Sorry I couldn’t help.
