(I am now in a rush to test as many games as possible to help, so please do not mind the cursory reviewing style.)

Great concept!! At the beginning, I thought this might be overpowered, but it turned out that clever level design could turn the power in a total hindrance. Some levels gave me trouble (starting from the second one to get accustomed XD), especially the last one.

This is a mix of puzzle and platform. I feel that sometimes, merely jumping on a single vertically moving platform was hard, but it may be a question of getting used to it.

I thought many levels were well designed. Some were more straightforward, such as the one (I do not know the number, sorry; by the way, you could display it!) where you just have to fall between red horizontal platforms. Or I was lucky, but merely rushing when the vertical tunnel was vacant did the trick. X)

I do not know if any other game somewhere used this idea, but it is both simple and clever. There is potential for a lot! :)

(By the way, just putting here that my game is pending until I get the submission form.)

Preety fun game, i like the way you use the limitation, controls feels good, good entry

It’s a platformer that solves the limitations well, I see! I was impressed.

It will be more fun with sound next time.

Fantastic First game!  This is actually my favorite interpretation of the limitation.

Some advice: A lot of the jumps are a bit too tight to be fun. Consider adding player velocity, variable jump height, and most importantly...

COYOTE TIME. Give the player a few extra frames after walking off a ledge to still jump. Not having coyote time makes games feel unresponsive and unfair.

here's a video on implementing it

I definitely plan to add coyote time after the jam is over (or maybe when i get home today), don't worry! the levels were a bit rushed so it being a bit tight was a result of that. thanks for the review and advice!

The way you implemented the limitation is really creative and it's impressive for a first game. However there is a bug in one of the levels, if you go to the left instead of the right you can avoid the entire level and go straight to the exit

Thanks for the review! I saw this one but decided to leave it in as a friend wanted to speedrun the game. if i make a full version this will be fixed! :+1

Really liked the use of the limitation. Found it a little too difficult for my liking though. Overall a really fun game!

Thanks for the review! i tried to make the game a little bit difficult, but i think i might've gone overboard...

Nice use of the limitation,  a bit on the difficult side but it was fun overall!

Thanks! i wanted it to be a bit hard but if there were any difficulty spikes then please tell me!

Really fun concept, it was fun! Only things i have to point out is maybe restart the positions of the platforms when you restart, i sometimes had to make a lot of suicides in order to fix a platform i messed up.  The jump felt a bit off when jumping of an edge, implementing "coyote time" to the game should probably fix that! Making the jump the same height as the radius of the "lock circle" was a preety good move, it helped out a lot when trying to solve some of the levels. Overall preety good experience, keep it up!

Thanks for the review! if i ever decide to make a full version, there will definitely be coyote time. :+1:

This is a very unconventional and intelligent implementation.  I played it for over 1 hour already. Well, the last level took most of my time. Very cruel.....  But the excitement of being able to beat it was so satisfying.

I think the overall game design is excellent, except for the last part, why the moving platformer reaches the spawn point is just a little frustrating (because I play 2151234x and had to fall down to reset the moving platformer).

The game mechanics have a very high potential to be commercialized, especially if can have 2 player options.

thanks for the review! i have updated the final stage to make it less... agonizing.

Interesting mechanic for a platformer, it requires timing and some problem solving, nice.
