Original and funny concept, funny take on the limitation, graphics fits nicely, too much "clicky" for me, my poor hand can't handle it, but fun game nonetheless!

I love the pixel art graphics! The difficulty level was thrilling and enjoyable. My fingers get sore from clicking the mouse too much. lol

First Impression: well, As a reincarnated enthusiastic, I have high hopes, let's dive in. the intro was good, and the real game..., amazing!
Good Points:
+ different enemy, different speed, different life
+ good art style
+ good story
Overall: Perfect, I like everything about the game, there is nothing I can point out. 10/10

I think maybe you could move the grow button being placed over where the enemies spawn to somewhere less in the way. Or, you could make it so you click the tree itself to grow!

I was actually struggling between putting the grow button in somewhere easy to reach or somewhere less in the way of the enemies. I will see what I can do!
The art is perfect, the looping music isn't annoying, the sound effects sound beefy which feel great to shoot and upgrade, the alternate paths are interesting and fun to follow, the only qualms I have with this game is that my hand hurts lol.

The music and most of the art aren't made by me, the original creators did a great job killing it! Make sure to check out the credits if you are interested.
decently fun! i'm on trackpad, so I can't make it past the second area, but the presentation is amazing! the little intro sequence is really good, and the sprite work is amazing! i love the dichotomy of having to balance defense and growth. pretty good!

I like your interpretation of the limitation and the intro.
This is probably the best game I have played in the jam. Loved everything from the artwork to the cutscenes to the gameplay. Really enjoyed the story and the way your actions lead to multiple endings. Isn't that a wonderful feature! I got evil btw mwhahahhah. Anyways, would have liked if you could click to move on in the intro scene rather than the dialogue quickly showing and then disappearing. I would like to read and move through the game at my own pace. Also would have liked a restart button on the ending screen of the page rather than just quit. Do you not want people playing you game again!?!?!? lol. Overall great game and had a great time playing.

Glad that you liked the endings, I even planned to have a secret ending originally but I gave up due to time constraint.
I made the dialogue system in a rush so if I want player input to advance dialog I'm going to have to refactor the whole system, lol.

The web version will not show the grow button unless added to full screen.
