I missed the deadline by 2 minutes because I couldn't find the exports file.

and it just won't let you do it now?

Because of my work schedule, it'll be easiest to submit sometime late monday, 8 hours past the deadline. is this allowed? will there be any punishment other than not having the game up for voting during those 8 hours?

not enough people notice those lmao. I put them in every game I've ever made. I'm glad you liked it.

This is really good!

There are infinite levels. Tbh the game is really incomplete. We ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was really proud of the fog.

Thanks for the in depth review!
Here are my comments:

I wish you would've played the updated version in the browser, since that's how it was intended to be played. I only submitted a downloadable version since I had to release the OG version in some way before I could do the update.

The ability is taken from and themed after BOTW, but slightly modified in that BOTW does not let you use the ability on yourself. Also, BOTW is 3D. The original plan wasn't actually to copy breath of the wild, but then I couldn't think of a better way to do it.

You should really have a QWERTY keyboard on hand. Maybe just under your desk for when you need it.

I very glad that someone noticed the quit button dialogue. It's not actually themed after any character in particular.

The ending actually IS a reference to portal 2's ending, where you are sent to the surface with a companion cube. The cube in our game's ending is referred to as the "associate square" within the game's code.

I actually do intend to release several updates for this game since I liked it so much, including exporting to mobile.

The player's weird death animation was fixed (or at least improved) in the update.

Tysm for the review!

I like this interpretation of the limitation a lot!

I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

The sound was made by gprosser. Credit goes to them for that one.

That bug has been fixed.

Fantastic First game!  This is actually my favorite interpretation of the limitation.

Some advice: A lot of the jumps are a bit too tight to be fun. Consider adding player velocity, variable jump height, and most importantly...

COYOTE TIME. Give the player a few extra frames after walking off a ledge to still jump. Not having coyote time makes games feel unresponsive and unfair.

here's a video on implementing it

Tysm!

This is a really cool game that fits the limitation really well! Good job!

I love the art and the look of the game! The music is also a good touch. And the intro cutscene was very nice!

Your collisions are just out of wack though. Sometimes you walk to a place and can't walk back until you've swapped bodies twice. You randomly get stuck on things.

I love the idea and the story! Unfortunately, the game is too hard. I couldn't get past 5 words even once. There needs to be a warning or something when the weak side is about to change.

The pixel art is fantastic!

As for the gameplay.... I stood in the corner and let the ball kill enemies until it glitched out of the map, then got bored, left my corner of invincibility, and killed myself.

BOTW was the main inspiration for the power for sure.  One of my favorite games ever. Glad someone noticed.

I LOVE the art style and the music. Just fantastic.

Very difficult but very well done!

The art and music are fantastic!

Player acceleration and variable jump heights would have been much appreciated.

I love the art! I'm terrible at rythm games so I almost lost.... and then I realized there was no penalty for pushing buttons randomly, and cheesed the rest of the level lmfaoooo.

It's unclear how to find this "hidden axe"

I couldn't pass the first level.

You mean zoom the camera in? I can do that.

I've made it larger on the website, if that's what you meant.

The web version will not show the grow button unless added to full screen.

I LOVE the intro cutscene, and the rest of them too. Very well done and very well polished!

The story exists lmaoooooooo

I love the intro, though it could've used a speed up button.

I couldn't figure out how to fire the bombs.

The 50g cost to spin the dungeon again is far too steep since the rate at which you make money doesn't scale. I actually really liked this game, but as far as I can tell, it's unplayable. (Unless I'm missing something.)

Consider updating the game to make it a bit easier so you can play longer.

Edit: Other comments don't say the same thing so I'm probably just missing something.

Really good and clean UI, better than I can do for sure. I managed to watch three anime and then it looked like all the options lead to dead ends.

The story is really good and I didn't notice any spelling/grammatical mistakes. Well done!

Realizing that I could damage enemies by calling the sword back was so cool!

Very fun game!

Very fun game!

Very fun game!

The first level is VERY boring. The champion has too much health in that one.

But all the other levels are great! I especially liked the final level! The chromatic king was a great boss fight.

Adding sound effects would have made this game about 3x better though. There are plenty really easy to use online sound effect makers, so maybe give them a try!

Very polished, perfect use of the limitation, amazing idea, and actually fun! Perfect score!

Agreed, lmao.

I can't tell the dark purples apart at all.

I'll add a better scoring system in the ui update.
