I think this game is going to win lol. Everything was very well done! the art, music, sfx and gameplay was all really good!

I wish I could see the full screen tho. Rather than dodging the missiles it more of felt like a surprise attack.  But godd job! very well made game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the Feedback TwoHorns! I hope we at least place top 5 ^^'

This was really fun to make with Minimg, I really digged it! I hope your game places well too!

Did submit so cant rate but:

really awesome entry! was a very awesome take on the limit, and it lead to some pretty chaotic stuff. Well done.

The little leaning the character does while moving is perfect and it really does feel like a robot with one wheel. Well done

A few things I defiantly would have liked to see tho

I wish the camera was zoomed out. This is essentially a bullet hell where you make the bullets (a very clever twist) but I felt like 80% of my deaths were from offscreen bullets. Plus I feel seeing more of the map would have lead to more a satisfying "look at all these bullets!" sort of vibe. Plus seeing how painted more of the map is would nice. I think this game would have been a great candidate for having a stationary camera that views the whole level actually.

Only other criticism for me is that I didn't realize the other robots weren't enemies until the last level haha. I was doing my best to avoid them thinking touching them would be death. In the last level when I found out they were friendly I used them as shields. Maybe if they didnt chase the player down they would have seem friendly faster? just a thought.

But yeah those two nitpicks aside great work, Juicy and Fun. The ending credits were very charming as well!

Great job yall!

Developer(+1)

Ay! happy you could give our game a go Prinny, no worries about not rating ^^

The Camera is an issue that's been brought up multiples times and we might fix it in a post-jam update :3

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game! i like it a lot, was a little hard to dodge the bullets because the little vision you have but i continue playing cause was really fun.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! The camera issue has been brought up a lot of time so might fix that in an update post-jam!

Very fun! It feels satisfying seeing the colors fill up the stage and thrilling running away from your own bullet! Very nice use of the limitation!

Developer

Really glad you liked it! thanks for the comment : )

This is a really great concept. The game play is heaps of fun. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

the player movement and shooting feel really good and the gameplay overall of avoiding your bullets was really fun. very good job :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and compliment!

This game is so much fun! The limitation really shines here, I was so scared of the bullets lol. At first, I wanted to fire all the bullets I could to cover more area quicker, but many deaths soon changed that strategy to moderating the amount of bullets that were out at a time. You did a fantastic job with the 3 days.

Developer(+1)

It's good to try something at first and see how it turns out, you live you learn!

We actually used only 2 days for this, granted we did spend all of day 3 working on it and barely submitted...

Submitted(+1)

The white robot friends (can't call them poor little folks enemies haha) were real helpful as bodyguards haha

Very cool game, not too easy not too hard, interesting combination for the theme + limitation, and overall enjoyable experience. The only thing I may say is that I wish I could zoom out the screen a little bit (because the bullets are real fast and they would often come blazing from off-screen and end me)

On an unrelated note, you know what this game reminded me of, because of the ricocheting bullets? When I was a kid, I loved playing MK64 battle mode on Block Fort with my friends. We would all get on top of the forts and gather and shoot as many green shells as we could, then countdown and drop all at once, to see who lasts longer in that chaotic turtle soup.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback! The issue you're bringing up has been brought up multiple times and we might do a post-jam update and fix it! ...it!

That's nice to hear we've managed to made you nostalgic about Mario Kart 64 ^^

Submitted(+1)

Lots of detail here and a great game! I love that you took the time to make your little robot lean left/right/up/down while navigating around. The color trails also looked super cool visually. Excellent work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback Randy! We took our time to make a fun game to play and we added polish element like that or the particles when a bullet hits you or an enemy ^^

Submitted(+1)

This game was incredible! I don't understand how this was made in three days. I found the art to be adorable. The only thing that confused me was the white enemies(?), what is their purpose? Overall, an amazing game. 9/10

Developer

The white enemies are dummy bots from greycorp, trying to stop you from recolouring the world, Except they super cheaped out on the construction materials and the bots are really useless x3

Amazing idea, we really loved the sounds effects and the concept, good work!

Developer

Thanks for your comment!

Submitted(+2)

Game is cool! I like use the idea use rebound to like double or even triple kill your enemies. Have lot levels which is also good for gradually increase difficulty during play the game. Only thing kind little bother is the screen size seems not set to right size so I wasn't able to see % until I change to full screen mode.

Developer(+1)

We were planning to do that but we ran out of time to make the UI adapt to the player's screen...

Thanks for the comment!

bright and lively graph _(:3JZ)_

white robots don't actually do damage tho 🤣in fact sometimes they will block bullet for you lol

Developer(+1)

Lore wise, grey corp's robots are so cheap that they skipped out on allowing them to deal damage, or do anything except move for that matter x3

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

Excllent game, great use of limitation. Im gonna beat the game before I hop to another one. Those robots are more like bodyguard.

Developer

That's why the Grey company shouldn't have cheap'd out on those, but they did :3

Inspiring concept, fun graphics and cool music.

It was a great idea for the use of the limitation and theme, but for me it felt like it kind of missed the mark.

I can't see the bullets bouncing because the screen is so small, and since they are endless... After a while I don't really feel like they are my bullets... just random projectiles coming from outside my screen.

And since I don't have to paint all the blocks or even the walls, I didn't really felt like I was doing something to paint the room... It was just happening automatically.

It was interesting though. Good job for 3 days.

Developer

Im glad you liked the idea! There was meant to be a bit more in order to get the player to have to be on their toes, but in the end we couldnt work something out that worked in the time, But im glad you thought it was cool! : )

Submitted(+1)

The first bullet definitely caught me off guard and got me real quick :,D

But after getting the hang of it, it was an awesome experience! The bullet made me feel super powerful and the juice was a really nice touch ^^

Also, bonus points for cute robot!

Developer(+1)

When you start to master the bullets it gets satisfying quickly, and thanks for the compliment about the robot ^^ I made it

Submitted(+1)

i appreciate that i can move with controller even if that’s all that i can do with it

i do have to disagree with your description and say that fullscreen is the wrong way to play the game. in a normal browser window, it appears pretty much fine, but if i fullscreen the game i get these weird annoying rectangles that occlude the playfield.

a screenshot of the game, displaying two random rectangles that occlude the playfield

Developer

Oops, the description is for people on 1920 x 1080 monitors, since the UI doesnt show up properly in windowed, but i forgot to mention that! added that in now though, thank you!

I FEEL SO POWERFUL WITH THIS BIG BULLET 10/10

Developer

Thanks!

Great game, excellent use of the limitations, engaging and actually really challenging past a certain

Developer

The later levels are harder because we upped the amount of area needed to be painted compared to the early levels, I do agree it gets challenging quickly tho-
