Anything you want to say to players before they play?
This is a game about making a game on an old computer. Where you have assets to create a game, but it is your task to choose which ones are added.
To win the game you have to build a game, play it, and then win it.
You will be able to choose what art goes into your project. You'll also be able to add up to 9 levels, but if you have no art - then you can't play your game. Up to 4 sounds can be added into the project for when player attacks.
Be careful of bugs, if you do not click them, they will destroy your project (one way or another). Bugs will not hurt your player, but if enemies bump into you - they will take away some of your health.
CAUTION: RED BUGS WILL MESS YOU UP

OK, I finally uploaded a video of my playthrough, it can be found here:
Thanks for doing a video! I went through it, I appreciate the feedback. It is also really cool seeing someone play my game :D!
No problem, it's a lot of fun playing them, albeit, a helluva lot of time and effort to get through them. Glad I could help though !
Nice concept, even if the game we can create is a bit limited. :p
I loved the idea of the bugs that can mess with the project and the computer !
Thanks TOTG :)! Some people said the bugs made them super anxious, especially the red one haha.
Cool meta concept! Building your own game within the game is pretty cool, although the game itself isn't super fun haha.
Haha yeah. I actually wanted to add a sprite editor and a madlibs and a few other mechanics, and then I was like OH SHIT i have to finish it xD I'm definitely going to work on my scope more next game jam. Thanks for the feedback :)!
This was agreed a bit basic but it was overall really fun and I enjoyed the idea behind the game! Keep it up!
Great work!
Thanks Heinrich <3 C:!
Cute game and interesting concept, although the game within the game was a little basic.
Thanks for the feedback randomphantom C:! I ended up spending a lot of time making little things about it that weren't a big deal haha. Like making a media player in game. I probably could've used that time to make the inner game more exciting :X
That was fun. I liked the multiple game aspect going on and how you had to manage playing the game then defending the game itself from the bugs. I'm generally not very good at these multiple games in one, but this was doable for me.
I agree with the other comments that the animation and sounds on the bugs was very good.
I'm glad that it was manageable! I have a tendency of making games too hard to finish.
The bugs were really fun to animate C: If you notice when they stretch horizontally their tongues go out haha.
Nice Job! I like the bugs they look cool.
Thanks ! I had a lot of fun animating them and doing their sound effects :)
best game I rated in this jam so far :)
Thank you! I really appreciate it :) <3
I only put art assets and somehow it worked with no code :D. Overall It's an interesting idea that could probably be turned into something better
If you put a CD in first, and then the art asset the game will actually render the CD in game as an enemy. At first it was a bug, but when I fixed it - I realized it was more hilarious with a CD as an enemy xD
I may do a second iteration of it to add more features because it felt like a cute small thing :) I appreciate your feedback!
