Really cool mech design, and the upgrade system is awesome, always looked forward to what cool ability I would unlock next.
Could do with more "feedback" for the player. Sound effects and something to let them know when they've been hit (health bar didn't always pop up)
Great game though, well done!
I like the idea you had and the models that were used for the game. Also fun how you collect to build up more weapons. The game had some lag issues so slow down at times and i feel just a bit of gravity would have help with the mech move so it didn't move so crazy like but still great game you had here.
Nice visuals and concept. Sound effects would have been a big plus!
Sound effects were finished, but getting the models to work ate up the time. We'll update it after voting.
Very cool game! Love the speediness of gameplay. I found the controls a little floaty and the camera a bit difficult to deal with. It might be better to have the camera centered always on the player rather than gradually lerping towards them. But those aren't huge issues. I love the mech designs and the enemy types. It's overall really good. Great job!
Was honestly pretty fun, the palettes are great and I like the mech design a lot too!
Just run around in circles and shoot the worms. Very easy. Make it harder, different kinds of enemies. And lastly, make the robot explode on death.
I like the 3D models, the visual style is nice. Everything feels a touch too floaty for me, the camera in particular ils just overactive and makes aiming difficult IMO. Game definitely lacks audio / juice and could be really elevated by it but the overall gameplay loop works well.
Okay so ignore my previous comment, i goofed up and wrote the review of a different game on the wrong page -_-
So about This one,
I really like the models here there is quite a lot of enemy variety, and i also like the fact that the upgrades are effortless, all you gotta do is go back to the furnace once you have enough scrap and bam you get a new hovering gun drone shooting along XD visually i also enjoyed the minimalist approach where your Hp is only shown when hit and in a nice circle bar around your character, the fact the enemies had health bars displayed is also a nice touch.
The music is also pretty rad.
I think the only small issue here is that there’s not that much feedback for hits wether it’s the player or the enemies, the lack of sound effects also didn’t really help much with that :(
Other than that everything works well and it’s fun to play and try to survive as long as possible. Good Job guys :)
This was fun, and the mech's design is very cool, it really stands out.
tiny mech vampire survivor-like. I wished the camera was more responsive. When you go down the camera is so close to you that you can no longer see the enemies around.
Damn this was actually really good! It was fun and felt pretty well balanced in terms of difficulty. It is missing a few important things though.
Reticle you need to add a reticle to show where the player is aiming. Relying on the mouse cursor isn’t a good idea because most system cursors are small and grayscale. After the intensity ramped up I found it difficult to even find my mouse cursor among everything on screen. Alternatively you could add a laser sight that extends out from the player to at least show the direction of aiming.
Make the weapons stand out more. Since the weapons usually involve spawning something on the map without your input, it becomes unclear what is part of your arsenal or what is some enemy or new hazard on the map. When the saws started spawning I kept trying to avoid them until I realized they were part of my weapon. When the red projectiles started to spawn I didn’t realize they were enemy projectiles until I saw them coming out of a new enemy type.
Add basic info to UI. The health ring is cool but it only appears when you take damage making it hard to tell how close you are to dying. This would be useful info to have at all times. It would also be useful to have a list of weapons you’ve unlocked, like little icons that appear on the UI somewhere.
Final Score. I played a few rounds and got down to around 1-2 mins with the missiles unlocked, but when I died the game faded to black and I had no way to see how my score. A simple enemy kill count or just the timer showing how much time was left would have been nice to have on the kill screen.
Great game overall though, this was genuinely fun!
Great job!
I can see an incredible art style and a good mechanic idea. The big problem is that as it runs in browser, it goes really slow in my case, so I'm not able to enjoy the game as I'd like. If it's possible, you should make another version of the game, maybe an executable. You can be sure that I'll play the game again to give you a deeper and detailed opinion. It's always better if more people can play your game!
