This was a great game to play :)
The music was certainly great to listen to, the sound design as well.
All the songs were bops and story had me way sooner than I thought it would! Great stuff!
The UI takes a bit of getting used to but the sounds are so perfect. My favorite is when you select a stage. Especially in the battle sequence the animation is terrific. The controls are incredibly responsive throughout. Great job with the dialog system. Nice subtle touches like camera shake and how you can complete the text scroll by pressing the key. Interesting use of the background photos. Character designs are expressive and I love how they "animate" during their speech. I appreciate how the music seemed to shift during the course of the story. The actual combat during each battle system is very unique——even more so after Ch 10! It's heavy on story though it's pretty engaging, very well thought out and strikes a good balance with gameplay.
This was pretty fun :) Loved the music and sfx. Ending song was soo good. Character art was really cute. Gameplay was challenging, didn’t seem like you could really lose a fight though. Great jam game - super polished, complete, and ironed out. 5 stars
Super stylish transitions. Awesome characterful portraits lol.
I love your in story tutorial. Greed was my favourite.
Such a lovely story and so well polished, amazing work!
Thank you for playing!
we love a great combat system with neat controls
Awesome entry !
And i like, how original the combat system felt, how the story was bot really cool and funny,
how expressive the character protraits are, and of course, DAT BANGER OST !
And also i gotta point out how bonkers (in a good way)the artstyle is with the hyper stylized characters/mechs agains photo backgrounds :o
and the arrow keys only controls are a nice idea as well.
if i had to really nitpick i'd say that some of the combined battles are a bit awkward to get everything in synch,
but that's about it.
All and all i had fun going through the whole game, good job :)
Thank you for playing!
Frankly entertaining !
this is SO good
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
Its true life isnt fair and I do suck
EXACTLY, and despite/because of that you can be a badass!
The lively, expressive characters are very appealing!
At first, I didn't think I was gonna like this game, but it grew on me pretty fast. The story was actually pretty good for a jam game, I actually liked how the protags were jerks and that is canonically why they won. The art had charm and the mechs and demons all looked pretty neat. The real winner here is the music. You guys didn't have to go this hard for a jam game but you did and man is it good! Hope your composer releases the OST for this because most of these are total bops.
I used royalty-free music from here!

The gameplay and presentation are highly novel :)
I most enjoyed the expressive character art. Please enjoy my ASCII art of the final stage:

THAT ART IS INCREDIBLY ACCURATE AND I LOVE IT
