"YOU GOT ME?!"
This is hilarious. Looks like it was as fun to make as it was to play/watch. Application of the theme could perhaps have been... different.
It'd be cool to have a replay at the end to show the actual video you "recorded."
Thank you!
Gonna have to respectfully and lovingly disagree with you on the application of the theme, there. Hope we can still be buds.
We actually thought of the "replay" idea super early on, but there just wasn't nearly enough time to implement it. We all agree that it would be a super fun idea though! Especially since we were originally going to have the player film close-ups and shaky cam. :P
Oh my god this game has to win
check out NPG playing this at 42:15 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/566123279 :D
I nominate this guy for the judges panel.
Ahahahahaha! I actually chuckled, oh my god. Believe it or not, I actually got kind of invested into these characters, even though (or, probably, because) their voices were so silly. If you continue making this game, I'll definitely play it.
That's that classic buddy-cop formula at work! Few can resist.
Thank you for the kind words!
Clap clap clap. Now this was unexpected. Had to finish the game! Lots involved in here, art, audio, gameplay and it goes on. All of which I felt were excellent. Great job to all involved that made this. Highly enjoyable game. Haha, I quite enjoyed playing this. :D
I'll definitely pass this on to the guys. Thanks so much!
This is great! I'd love to see this expanded upon. Voice acting for the win!
Wow, that's some real production value! Nice! I enjoyed it, however I couldn't figure out what makes the meter fill, and how to avoid it. I would snap to the recording icon pretty quickly, but it seemed inevitable that it would eventually fill up no matter how well I thought I was doing.
You just need to stop recording between shots, otherwise you'll waste film travelling from shot to shot and anger the director!
AH! That's it! Thanks!
Nicely done!
Uniqueness: 5/5
Execution: 5/5
Humor: 5/5
Once you realize the full scope of how the theme was implemented: Priceless!
Loved it! The "bloopers" bit at the end was the icing on the cake! :D
Fun concept!
OH man this was great! I wish it was a little easier so i could get through the whole scene lol
Thanks for submitting!!
Haha yeah, sorry. It's the kind of game that's basically impossible to balance as the developer—especially in such short time—since we know exactly where all of the prompts are going to be.
Just don't forget to stop filming while you move the camera to a new subject and you'll be fine!
I was actually failing because I kept filming while moving the cursor, which drove the red bar up! releasing the mouse while moving cam between subjects is what saved me :D
Amazing! The voice acting really made the game funny and unique. Only negative is the game not fitting the theme that well. The light and shadow part feels kind of just tacked on. Great job!
Yeah, I figured at least someone would feel this way. :P
"Light and Shadow" got me thinking of "good and bad", which made me think "good cop, bad cop", and then I finally arrived at the idea of doing an '80s buddy cop movie.
"One guy's by the book, and the other guy never read it. But, like it or not, they're going to have to work together."
That sort of thing!
Great idea! And a great history hahahah, you definitely got it muchacho!
Is that your real voice?😆 cool and warm voice you have like comedians, congrats!😅
About your game, it really needs more tutorial in action! I couldn't pass scene 1!
I failed until I realized I have to let go of mouseleft while moving the cam. here's the whole shot!
ah, Thanks iwan.
I've become curious about what happens after your fail! :)
I voiced Shadow, the gruff and tough sounding guy, but it is absolutely not my real voice. :P
HoolAgain voiced everyone else!
The tutorial was the last thing we tried to squeeze in before time was up. We definitely would've preferred a more interactive one, but that's game jams for ya!
We appreciate the feedback, though, and definitely agree. :P
Sweet style. It is Much better and easier with sound on!! The pauses where they were talking I had a bit of trouble knowing if something was going on or frozen. With sound Super easy to follow. I love that it only "records" sound when you actually filming. Great art direction and super smooth
I should add a note to the page about leaving the sound on.
Thank you for pointing that out!
With the sound it was usually obvious who was talking, but maybe a "speech" bubble above their head would have been cool, or "air vibrations/quotes" to signify some kind of focus on that specific person possibly too
This is incredible
Thanks so much!
Caught your interview on the stream, by the way. Hope you had fun!
LOLOLOL THIS IS AMAZING! XD
Glad you liked it! Thanks for checking it out.
