There's a whole lot to like here. The art and sound are top-notch and emulating the classic gameboy feel compliments the gameplay which is just as classic. I'd prefer a GBC style to a GB style as I think the added color would help separate some of the objects on the island and give it a bit more life.

The controls were tight and I appreciate the mid-air turning. Gameplay wise, charting the seas was very ambiguous. I wasn't sure where I was headed or that the "compass" pointed towards an island -- until I realized my compass was broken and didn't always point north.

The ship battles were okay, but I think the health pools are too high. I never lost a battle at sea when I mashed but after sailing blindly, mashing became annoying. The island segments were more fun, though with the insta-kills, it made the health pools seem even more excessive. The biggest let down was that every death brought you back to sea and not the island and it was enough to keep me from progressing past my 3rd island.

Great! The ship navigation is very elegant. Did not expect to get killed by that floating coconut.

Amazing game.. So much content and wonderful art :) The gameplay mechanic is also super functional.

It's a bit annoying that I respawn at sea after I die on land, and sea battle do get a little tedious. I like the ocean scrolling effect, that's pretty neat and the graphics in general are really good, as is the audio.

Nice music and adorable graphics. Sea battles become repetitive really fast. Platformer levels are much better.

Delightful graphics; the limited palette really helps! Sailing around does feel a bit aimless, especially since I don't seem to be able to re-visit an island where I died (does it sink back into the sea when the crabs make a kill or something?). Once I'd worked out that the combat relied on me hitting the arrow keys in time with those on screen rather than just as fast as possible, I never lost another battle, so that was nice :)

Game looks great! Love the overall aesthetic! I also thought the combat system was pretty neat. One suggestion I had was maybe to put some indicators on the map as to where points of interest may be? I felt like I just sailed around until I hit random events. Still fun though!

Very nice art! I like also that you chose the 4 color palette for it. The only thing I didn't enjoy that much was while I was sailing because I didn't know what to do. I though it was just bout combats in the water until I suddenly reached an island (and a crab killed me!) For the rest I do like it a lot. Congrats!

Very well polished game with nice art! Very good call in making the movement and falling really slow, doesn't make the game feel claustrophobic. Good job!
