I made the game all by myself. It was fun but challenging.

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution is a bit low but still good enough for a retro platformer.

What did you learn?
It's the first game jam I'm participating. There was a bit too much pressure on me coding, making music, making graphics etc. but I think I handled them okay.

Pretty difficult but fun, makes you want to keep playing to get a level just right! I would really like an expanded release of this after the jam  :) Also really loved the background music, really impressive that you made it all yourself!

Was gonna say that the character felt a little slow, but comparing to your gif I think I might have just been getting a low FPS. Great job on the sounds, really liked the death one.

Well this one’s tricky lol… Eventually got the hang of going slow enough to progress, learning the level layout bit by bit. Feels kind of like a rage game more than anything.

I will say…. you have about the cutest main character sprite i’ve seen yet.

Thanks for your kind words. This kind of game may use a widescreen ratio rather than a small square screen so you can build your momentum while seeing what is ahead of you. Still, I may have exaggerated the slipperiness factor a bit too much.

I nearly had a heart attack when you added autoscroll to the ice physics, but thankfully that level was short...

Good graphics, good music, good gameplay (as good as ice physics can be anyway, you monster) -- altogether pretty fun, would recommend.
