Great game! I included it in my LOWREZJAM compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Very well polished and original game!

The gameplay is easy enough to catch without a tutorial and still fun to play because it involves memory, reflexes and planning.

If you extend the game with some achievement, you can easily release it and get some money for it :-)

One of the best games in the jam by far. All 5's from me!

Ha, thanks!

This was a super creative game. The graphics and the music fitted perfectly.
Easy to learn hard to master.

Congratulations.

Thanks!

whew it's really, really good. the art is cute and the music and sfx are effective. I was always just on the edge of being overwhelmed. got saved by the clock a few times but never had an unhappy customer at the end of week 1.

I would actually.. really like to play this in a local versus scenario against my wife or friends to see who runs a better sushi belt :D

Developer

Glad to hear! I'm still tweaking the customer's spawn rate to balance overwhelming versus the brief respite, so feedback on that is always appreciated!

I was considering local multiplayer options for a future version,  the game is so small could fit 4 split screen kitchens or a larger shared kitchen.

I should have played more past day 8 -- I had only memorized 3-4 recipes so I believe the difficulty still has room to ramp up over time, or else other difficulties could start with more recipes/customers from the beginning. The initial curve feels good to me though!

I would happily pay for a 2-4 kitchen local multiplayer without any expansion of the features other than displaying whomever had the high score after 7-14 days ( ̄ω ̄)

I like the games art style and gameplay (the food looks really good). The music can get a bit repetitive sometimes but overall I really enjoyed playing!

Thanks! (don't eat the pixels!)

Amazing game, one of my favorites ! The graphics are very good. The fact that you can carry several ingredients and plates is a great idea. The little music is nice even if a little too repetitive. Sometimes to get a plate back I find it a little complicated because the white square doesn't really fit in the right place. Well done anyway !

By the way, I made a little video that brings together some of the LOWREZJAM games to show a little glimpse of them and you're in it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qr0jzLB4-QE

Thanks! There's a "mute music" option if you press enter. I'll try to extend the track for post jam version. Is the white square is misaligned with what is picked up or are you unable to pick up?  Being unable to pick up was a bug with this version that will be fixed. Cool video!

In fact, I was rather surprised that the white square was to the left of the character rather than in front of him.

This game is awesome and works so well in 64 pixels! It felt like playing an old unknown C64 game :P Good Job! I want to order sushi now XD

Developer

Thanks! Me too!

amazing game play and the graphics worked very well within the resolution without trying to hide it.  the controls were a bit awkward trying to get the recipe from the book.  there was no penalty for placing poop on the belt in front of customers, it have been funny for that to have been a bad move.  overall amazing job.

I assisted on a game for this jam.  would love to hear your ideas on our game :)

Thanks! 64x64 is honestly the perfect resolution so was super excited for the jam! Thought about making the book easier to use with the arrow keys flip pages and exit, will change for post-jam version.

That's a good point on the poop! Could make it they will just up and leave if they see it.
