Its hard to play solo but with 2 player can be more easy. I need to test it again with my brother for see full potential of this game ^^ nice work

Developer (1 edit)

It takes a few tries to get used to  to controls two player at the same time,  with your brother is gonna be much more easy i think. I dont know i dont have friends hahaha XD

Thanks for playing it!

Super hard game but fun concept! Think it could be easier if I could use a controller (or a friend :D)

Developer(+1)

I havent a controller for testing so i didnt add it, i think its a great idea to add support for controller, i need to buy one haha

Thanks for playing it!

Tough controls. Very much the ghost hotel game from GMTK '21. The effect visuals are very readable.

Developer

Yes its really similar but its not that polished  and i added some changes to the gameplay that i want to try.

Thanks for playing it!

A slight learning curve at the start but I really enjoyed it. The optional multiplayer especially is a fantastic touch! This is a super solid foundation and there are so many ways you could expand it if you wanted to develop it into an even larger project. Great job!

Developer

Yes its very difficult to start with all the enemies appearing and trying to learn to controls the two players, thats something i had to work.

Thanks for playing it!

Nice idea!! But man, what a hard game!! The Dark souls of the Jam :P  For me it's almost imposible to predict enemies movement. Maybe different patterns of movement and introduce them one by one so you can recognize different enemies with different movements and then you can try to avoid them?

Love the idea of controlling a "player" with each hand, makes it different from other games (and a challenge!). Congrats!

Developer

Haha yes its pretty hard get used to, but after a few weeks of training it get easier haha XD

The time doesnt let me add a progression but when i can i will update that.

thanks for the advise and for playing it!

I like the game. I really like the inclusion of style / multiplier system. Not enough games in jams have systems like that. I played a game similar to this in the GMTK game jam with the theme "Joined Together" but I like this version more because of the multiplier.

I did get a little confused whenever my characters would freeze momentarily - is that because they went too far apart?

I feel that this game would be a blast with two players. I played by myself so controlling both characters was a little hard. I wonder if using the mouse for one character and WASD for the other character would feel any different?

I feel like you could keep expanding this game by adding things like different types of enemy, some level design with walls, obstacles, traversal mechanisms and what not.

I played too back in that time, when i have the idea for this that game comes to my mind haha

I want to do some feedbak for the stunt mechanics but when the build with that finish compressing , the game jam ended ( my computer is a toaster and it took 30 min for every build hahaha).

Ireally like doing this game and i think i will improve it further, thanks for the ideas!

thank you so much for playing it!

Awesome, thanks for your kind words and for checking out my game too! Hopefully you can get an upgrade to your PC soon :).

Definitely, its perfectly okay to use someone else's idea, as long as you treat it as a foundation and then put your own twist on it, which you did. Congrats.

Developer(+1)

Yes i hope that too, but here in Argentina are very expensive, so in a few month or a year haha

Thanks you! :)

Developer(+1)

the difficulty is pretty hard up front but once i got the hang of it it's a fun game. I like the graphics style and sound design.

Developer

Thanks you so much for playing it, glad you like it!

Submitted(+1)

Cool game! The difficulty is pretty hard, by introducing enemies firing bullets early on. Keep it up!

Developer

I ran out of time to implement non-shooting enemies spawn first, but if I keep developing it it will be one of the first changes I'm going to make.

Thanks for playing it!

Great effort, really enjoyed playing this game. I think it could be amazing as a twin stick controls with a controller. I definitely enjoyed a few runs.

Developer

Yes, you right i will buy one for implemeting that and testing it for future games.

Thanks you for playing it,  im glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

really cool concept.   would  work well as a twin stick game with a controller for single player.

Developer

Yes that would be really cool, i have to buy one for future games , thanks for the suggestion and thanks for playing it!

Submitted(+1)

Great concept and you have executed it really well! My brain nearly melted trying to move both dots a the same time haha I think it would be great to play with a friend, like it suggests! Well done great game

Developer

I had the same problem the first few times a tested, the only two brain cell that left in my head almost die XD

Thank you so much for playing it!!

I suck at this! But I guess having two players would make things easier. I have a small suggestion! Maybe the first few enemies don't get to shoot bullets? That would kind of make it easier in the beginning!

Developer (1 edit)

Yes thats was the idea but the time was my enemy haha. If keep develop this game this its one of the first things i wanna add. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool concept. I like how it can be played by one person multitasking or two players cooperating.

Developer

Thanks! Glad to hear you like it.

Submitted(+1)

I did a record play of your game.

Grats on submitting!!

I liked the concept. It looked good. I personally just could not get the hang of the controlling 2 players with different controls at the same time  :(

Developer

Its hard get to control two player at the same time but after a few... days XD just kidding after a few tries you get used to it. Thanks for the feedback, i really appreciate.

Cool game !

The blooming looks very nice.

I like the idea of bonus/risk that you implemented on the link duration.

The bullets looked a bit big compared to the ships & ennemies.

Also a bit hard to predict when a ennemy is going to shoot. maybe add an anticipation animation (blinking, change of color,/size).

Appart from that, pretty fun entry. Good job :)

Developer

I dont know how to do art so post proccesing was the only thing i have haha.

I was late with the feedback to the player and I missed several things, the next one I will take more into account

Thanks for the feedback, i really appreciate and love your game really good.

Nice entry! I got 1400 points on my best try and it was quite fun. A little difficult to manage both circles at the same but I guess that also provided a bit of a welcomed challenge.
I also liked the Main Menu music, nicely paced and fitted to the game.

I thought it was a bit difficult to understand the mechanics of when the circles break the connection and the bullets looked a bit too much like the squares - perhaps they could have a significantly different color and a smaller size?

 I overall enjoyed the experience!

If you have the time, please check out our game as well:
