Wow, I'm really impressed by how good the controls feel! And also, how did you do the compass?
Reached "Far Reaches", waiting for new orders :D Very cool and relaxing game, super simple to control! Please continue developing, may be add more missions, destinations , may be multiplayer...
If I was to extend it, I would create more locations and use some sort of procgen to create missions (at least after the 'training' mission).
But not sure how I would extend the play beyond being a series of 'fetch quests'... which I added to make some game play... I started out with just a flight simulator... and then said to myself... maybe I should add some gameplay. .. <shrug>
multiplayer definitely could be done..
but from a practical side of things, I do gam jams as a hobby... so I am not sure how much more time I want to put into this. Feel free to follow my account or the game, so if I do work more on it, you can get notified.
"Putting Chopper Away" :) Nice controls, good atmosphere, simple to understand.
Took me 2 deliveries before pressing left shift.. :)
Very nice game.
Very relaxing to play. Reminds me of Stardew Valley in that sense. The controls looked overwhelming at first but I got used to them pretty quickly.
I loved the Narration and it was super addictive, although the controls and the speed of the plane wasn't good I Still really thought it was good for being done in two days!
well, the controls felt a little bit all over the place so it was hard to remember which control was which and it'd be better if it were just a couple controlling the plane, also I felt the plane speed was a bit slow even when speeding up. I don't think it should be sped up to 4000, just a little bit more so it's not as if you're waiting to get to the island all the time
Thanks.
Not sure how to make the controls less complicated in so much as that helicopters/planes have 4 axis controls for movement.
One of my early favorite games actually had full 6 axis control inputs. Descent.. good times.
Any control layouts that you thing would work better?
Is the strafe ability what makes the controls extra complicated?
Super fun. The narration style improved the immersion by a massive factor. I could definitely see this being fleshed out into a more substantial game. My friends and I are fans of OpenTTD, and it would be cool to implement a sort of economy / corporate manager element to this, where you run and grow your own shipping company.
Great little game, some more polish and levels and it would be even better, reminds me a lot of an old ZX Spectrum game called Cyclone (yup, I'm that old!) check it out:
