This one was such a fun and creative game! You always have to weigh your options and make smart decisions while crafting. It felt so hard sometimes since I only had good cards in my hand, and I didn't want to lose them, but I had to. A nice space themed top-down card game that feels like a resource manager. Fantastic work!

This was a really fun game! I was actually thinking of making a game like this after getting addicted to Slay the Spire but you beat me too it! Game-play and tactics were really smooth. I would say it was a tad on the easy side ( i do play quite a few tactical games though) as I think I actually only took damage twice in my run (taking advantage of the next move hints, absorb damage card, and kiting), the threat was more running out of cards (or just my good ones).
Made my first purple card right at the end of the prototype and was hoping for more levels haha.

Most of my suggestions have been mentioned by others but:
1. Movement grid show before a move and/or able to take back a card (which I know is a challenge for multi action cards).
2. Being able to discard to redraw on command could be nice so you arnt stuck with bad cards, I wouldn't say its necessary but sometimes it was annoying at the end of a level with minimal moves and then also possibly starting the next round with limited options.
3. Similar it would be nice, if you keep the forced 2 actions per turn, you can just discard (not lose) a card for an action. Just to avoid having to play melee and see the 'no available targets'.
4. SteelHere's suggestion on the randomized craft could be really fun, especially if it was an optional feature.
5. One idea for if you create a longer game/more varied abilities would be different starting decks. One that's more focused on ranged attacks or a lot of heals, even weight the drops towards that type. Could be a nightmare to balance though.
6. 'Counter' ability could be cool, maybe too similar to absorb next damage. Maybe reduce next damage by X and retaliate X.

Personally this is one of the most fun games I've played in this Jam. Really great job!

Pretty cool game, i like the round based strategy games, they are really fun.
The UI and actions you can take a very clear, so you know exacly what you can do and what the enemy is going to - well done.
Might i suggest you allow the player to end the round without having done anything? I found myself in the position that i just had meele attack cards but wasn't near anyone so i basically had to waste them.

Wow, this was fantastic. Played through all the way to the end and really enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you continue development on this project - I will definitely keep an eye out for updated versions should you choose to do so!

So far, this is my favorite game hands down. The card mechanics and combat work so flawlessly. I loved the gameplay of being able to craft cards and having to lose one after expending your current hand. Honestly excellent work all around for the time you had.

Feel free to check out our game, Zixels 2.

Thank you I'm happy you liked it! I will check out your game later on :)

The card crafting mechanic is really interesting, with lots of tactical potential.
I also really liked the music in the background, I think it fit it very well.
The only problem I had with it gameplaywise is that you can't "take back" a card once you've played it. I found this to be a problem for the movement cards, because you can only see the grid you move on when you have the card played. So when I predicted a distance to be longer/shorter than it actually was, I was stuck with it.

Thanks for playing it! A lot of people seems to have liked a movement grid and to take back the card, wish I thought of it :)

It is typically the kind of games I like :) (I am a big fan of Tactical games and Card games). I made it to the end and the difficulty was quite balanced maybe a little too easy but I may not be the best to tell.

This is clearly a great concept and you need only few things to add to polish it, clearly the grid should be seen before playing a card from your hand OR you could cancel one card. A randomization of the craft may be interesting (7-10 moves) which allow you to make risky abilities (1-12 melee damage).

Very great submission !

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions :). I like the idea of not knowing in advance the move or attack amount when crafting the card. As for the difficulty, I tried to set it to a point where most people would be able to finish it in 1 or 2 go. I am planning on making the game a rogue-like, with randomized rooms and enemies, and that usually means a high difficulty threshold.

Nice take on card games mixed with a tactics. An undo option before ending your turn would be great to add as it helps prevent accidentally playing a card you didn't intend. I also found it hard to tell how much damage the enemy would do to me as there was no indication until I was hit and no information on how far they can move. Minor nitpicks aside, well done!

This is really well made. I wish I could see the grid before I play a card so I could plan my movement better. Also, sometimes I have to use up all my cards to get to the exit because I had no movement cards left. I wish I had a "redraw hand, discard one" button, so I didn't have to play the rest one by one. The visuals and music are really great too.

Excellent submission. Unique combination of game mechanics (crafting cards + discarding cards after running out of stack + looting for new card parts). This game made me want to play on after the end. There should definetly be an extended version in the future.

Thank you so much for your comment. I have been thinking about making this into a full release, with rogue-like elements, having every level and enemy types randomly generated. I'd like to add some more gameplay elements, definitely bosses and Mini-bosses, and some items, I'll have to think about it.

Thanks again for your comment, I'll check out your game later on :)

This game is just awesome. Card games are my favourite. I played it till the end. One thing I missed was to adjust camera rotation (mainly in the last level). Well done! I’m looking forward to new levels, abilities and monsters.

Ok, this was actually very fun, a little hard when starting out but it's easy to get a grasp on fast. The card action crafting is actually very well made and balanced. Over all it's very nicely made, well done developer, :D
