    About

JamCraft is exactly what it sounds like - a jam about crafting! Basically, anything that involves taking two or more things and mixing them to make something new.

This could take the form of crafting items from raw materials, brewing potions, preparing food, discovering fighting combos, creating bases from construction blueprints, and so on and so forth. There are no limits on genre or style, but other participants will have the opportunity to rate you on your use of the "crafting" concept. You may use any tools you wish to create your game.

To get a more hand-on feel of what the jam is about, check out the entries from previous JamCrafts!

    Prizes

Important Note: Any engine or language can be used to make the game!

Prize notes:

Prizes are not multiple, so if you are eligible for a prize and you're in a team you'll have to decide amongst yourselves who receives it! If you receive a prize that you don't want you can just let us know and we'll pass it onto the next eligible participant.

To check out the Jaynky DIY Podcast, they're all up here: https://anchor.fm/jay-s5

You can find Chequered Ink's available fonts at these locations:

The t-shirts will likely be printed on demand in your own country (because shipping blows the budget out the window!), so quality may vary but we can potentially offer your own choice of colours and styles!

    Themes

2 themes will be revealed when the jam begins. It's required to use either one of them, and you can even try mixing them up together!

    Who?

We are two veteran game programmer-jammers. We love making games and we love jamming. We decided to host a new game jam together, as if there wasn't enough game jams out there already, to give others another excuse to make a game! Double the hosts means double the support, and we aim to make this jam as accessible and fun as possible for everyone.

    When?

JamCraft 5 will run from the 10th April to 20th April. This period covers two weekends!

You must submit your game before the end of the jam. When the jam has ended, there will be around two weeks of community voting. Please keep an eye on the jam timer on this page, as actual times will differ in different timezones, and any timekeeping other than on this page may not be accurate..

    Where?

The jam is entirely online! You can participate with the community in many ways: We have the Community forums here on the jam page, we have a Discord server and you can use #JamCraft on Twitter!

Want to team up? Find teammates here! If this CrowdForge link is still down, then you are welcome to make a team thread on the JamCraft 5 Community: https://itch.io/jam/jamcraft5/topic/723236/making-teams
