Hands down best soundtrack of the jam!
The laser was at a funny angle which threw me off a bit at times, but well done on making this game - definitely more of a gameplay loop than mine!
Appreciate the elder wand model as well - fits well with the soundtrack. The choice of 3D models/targets were super random and goofy, and made me chuckle.
This was fun. Simple but carried out well and felt completed. Nice job!
Great effort and quite amusing. The hand pose was a little weird, but easy to get used to.
Congrats on making this for the jam! I know it's not easy, especially when you are starting out. Funny music!
Maybe it's not my type of humour but the hilarous music was awful, and the pointer in the hand with a twist angle didn't help to me, I thought that you didn't respect your own work, which is good, finishing something that is playable and runs fine is something to be proud if you (as I) are learning about VR dev.
Yes, I should be more serious about that. I just want to learn Godot development during this game jam. I am pretty happy to have finished it, although the project was so fragile the editor crushed all the time🥲. I am sure I will dig deeper because a lot of ideas I haven't made.
I bet you did learn a lot! If you make those new ideas, feel free to leave me a message to test them :)
What do you mean by "the editor crushed all the time"? The good thing with (almost all) gamejams is that you only learn and try an idea, then you can expand it or throw it away, if you feel the code is awful you can just start again and make it better this time (I don't recommend this with long projects or restarting over and over again, just with gamejams).
Hello there I had the pleasure to be greeted by the w o n d e r f u l piece of music that shitty-flute-harry-potter.mp3 is when I booted up the game. You can watch my playthrough here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2386307073?t=02h04m54s
Cool lil entry, good job and keep it up!
(Sorry for the angle of the webcam I forgor to put it back up after Bjergtaget… and no one commented about it in chat ofc.)
OMG🤩! I just started game development about a month ago. It is enough for me to just finish a game not to mention someone playtest it. Thank you very much!
An extra star for the hilarious music. :D
Thank you, It is my first time doing Godot development. I messed up on the editor making it crush all the time. So I chose this audio. XD
Oh yeah, that intro audio is 5 stars for me. Great work, the monsters are cute.
The audio choice is a metaphor for my game development. Because the last few hours, every 3 clicks on the Godot editor may cause it to crush XD. I know someone will get the humor.
The sound of the shooting was a bit annoying, but the nice soundtrack made up for it.
Also gameplay was okay. Good job!
Thank you, I thought sound feedback was needed so I added this, but it somehow made a wand into a gun. To me sound development is new, and I certainly need more time to study.
I'm going to guess this was one of your first XR games? Great effort! Finishing a game enough to submit at all is a huge accomplishment, and you have a full game loop in there. Also, I enjoyed the rendition on the recorder or flute or which ever instrument that was :-)
Yes, I only started learning XR game development about a month ago. This game jam is a good chance for me to learn Godot because I've never used Godot before. I am very happy to finally finish one game and I hope I will try better next time.
