fun and very original. this game has a lot of unique personality. i feel like I would have loved to click around several floors worth of this game. the riddles were fun, but it was mostly entertaining to poke around the environment and interact with things

congratulations on the placement! really nice work

I liked this alot. It reminds me of Undertale but as a point and click. I also see some parallels to my game.

I like all the puns in this game ahah

Very enjoyable! The characters, the story, the puzzles, the 11/10 doggo - what's not to like? I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks for sharing :)

Such a cool game, really knocked it out of the park again! Loved the graphical style and outlandish characters, and such a lovely way to implement some puzzling too. Each interaction had been memorable so it was very satisfying to see them come into play at the end. Also, the soundtrack is gorgeous. It's so peaceful, slightly otherworldly, curious, just perfect. Had to replay to hear it again and see the different endings, really awesome job!

Thanks so much for playing, your reviews always make my day!! I swear if I get one more nice comment I will explode with happiness xD

Music in games is so cool. "Where words fail, music speaks," as the quote goes. I love how good jams are for helping finish songs! It's been a lot of fun and great practice!!

Have a good one :)

I want to give this a full five stars but I'm stuck in a lift that never arrives?

Developer

Uh-oh! That's strange. Is the timer on the wall counting down?

Submitted(+1)

No. think I glitched the game somehow. I’ll try again as I’d like to see the mad ending that I’m sure is coming!

Submitted(+1)

Curious and funny. Made me nostalgic for old point and clicks

hehehe, that was fun! :D

Really very good post!

WOW i loved this!! I haven't played a point-and-click game in so long!!
I loved the handdrawn environment, the humor in writing, and the memorable characters (i got the qs about "who i met" correct because of this. There's so many small touches that show how well-thought out this game was

  • e.g. the meta values of remembering those who helped you, sticking to your wishes
  • The "Head" master, get it?
  • The clever way of ensuring that the player reads the brochure.

Very very solid entry, and I would love to see more people play this!

Hey!! Thank you so much for playing! This was probably the most fun I've had on a jam game so far and I'm really happy people are enjoying it!! I literally just caught a typo I inadvertently left in the game and am mentally kicking myself xD

I had a lot of fun with the characters, haha. I'm excited to try stuff like dynamic pauses in dialogue and different typing sounds for different character "voices" in the future to help bring them to life!

Thanks again!!

I love this so much! This writing is great and the way it's tied to the theme is perfect! And the art and music are just so well-made and polished too. Story games of this kind are my favorite, and honestly this one is really no less than awesome!

Yahoo!! Story games are my favorite too :D Thanks so much for playing!!

That was brilliant! Easily my favourite entry to the jam so far. The graphics and sound were both charming, but the writing is the absolute highlight here. Just reading the brochure for the first time put a smile on my face. Great stuff!

Your words put a smile on my face and joy in my heart!! Game storytelling is super exciting to me and though I'm not amazing at it yet I definitely hope to get better!

Thanks so much for playing, have a super day :D

Lovely game, very fun and silly. Gestalt is a king, hope he gets a new place soon.

Developer(+1)

Hey!! Yes, he's kind of amazing. I'm guessing you got the "Gestalt gets evicted" ending? xD

Thanks for playing!! I actually just finished your game this morning :D

This was fun! Very creative. I loved the story and funny interactions with the characters.
Personally I'm not much fun of riddles but the puzzle was very interesting.

This was a unique and fun little story! I love the character artwork - I definitely smiled to myself when I scrolled over and saw the fish and the hot dog! The visuals were minimal but effective, the nebula wallpaper hallway was very cool. The riddle was just enough of a challenge for someone who's not the greatest at riddles like me, and the encounter at the end forcing you to second guess yourself was clever.

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words—you are a truly benevolent octopus! Riddles can definitely be a little hit-or-miss, so I tried to make sure the characters are there to give the player some hints if they get stuck ^^ I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!

P.S. I can't wait to play your team's game, it looks epic :D

Cozy little adventure! Only suggestion I would make is adding a little more contrast between the buttons and the rest would have helped, maybe a panel with a lighter color? Other than that, well done!

PS: I really liked the brochure. What a neat idea!

Hey, thanks so much!! Yeah, UI can be a fine line between "too distracting" and "too subtle" so it's great to get feedback from others on what works and what doesn't :D Thanks again for playing, really glad you enjoyed it!!
