Very cute game! Everything felt really crisp. The curses were well implemented and I love the barking and digging. Really creative game. Great job on the submission!

I must have sat there for a good couple of minutes just barking, I loved the animation of it!

My only complaint is that at the end I struggled to dig up and got boxed in, which didn’t feel very nice, as I tried to outrun it but was surrounded. Maybe some i-frames so you can damage boost through?

Thanks for playing! We actually did put about 1.5 seconds of iframes in after you get hit which makes it a little more manageable on the way out if you have the bones for it. It is definitely a lot more difficult to dig back up, partially by design, partially by not having the time to make it easier to jump up into one block wide holes. It’s also very subtle, but if you bark at the monster at the end, it slows down the growth by fractions of a second each bark. Glad you enjoyed it!

I think my issue must have been that I kept trying to jump through it, so I just got knocked back and lost my iframes!

I’ll have to try again!

ohhh that makes sense, I forgot we put the knock back in there. Yeah maybe reducing knockback for the monster would be a good idea. Thanks for the feedback!!

Flappy ears, flappy ears, flappy ears!!! Loved Judy and her giant bark, very talented at digging too haha! Your game is so well polished, great audio, graphics, story, the curses UI was really nice too!! A very fun entry, congrats!!

To be honest, I almost give up to find the toy ^^'

Awesome game, well put togheter and very fun, and it's quite polished too, with the animations and the well placed lighting.

This game is great.  I managed to find the avocado but then had a tough time bringing it home because I made the rookie mistake of digging straight down.  The creepy tendril monster got me.

I really liked the little interaction if you go back into the kennel at the beginning.  Its a very cozy game that takes a turn.

Judiiiiiiiiiii !! She's adorable! Controls are tight, especially on a controller! I love the pressure applied when you find Judi's toy. It's pretty cool. Superb entry!

That was quite interesting and fun!

Really want to know how you did the curse effects, they really add to the game and the way they're versatile on either adding or interrupting the game is so nice.

Took me a few minutes to understand the menu and inputs, but the way the key mapping is displayed is so nice that got me jealous.

Yeah the menu and input mapping were kinda jammed in at the last second so they might be a little clunky, but glad you figured it out! A lot of the curse effects were actually pretty simple in terms of just modifying our character controller to swap around the horizontal movement vectors/changing the gravity scalar.  (hope that answers your question about how we did the curse effects :D) Glad you enjoyed it!
