Really awesome work for this jam! Haven't played a text adventure in awhile so this was great to play, thank you :)

Sweet pixel art work! Interesting mechanic you designed for making the screen small when the eye is closed. I agree it's definitely too small, but I think perhaps using something like a vignette that occluded the screen when the eye is closed might have achieved the same effect without shrinking the screen? Overall though nice work for this jam!

This feels pretty heavily AI generated to me, given this was submitted within 6 hours of the start and the other games on your page are also very AI coded. Not really for me personally, I think it just loses out on individualism and raw creativity and strips away the credit from the people whose work was used in the training sets.

There's a great button in the bottom right that maximizes the screen.

Impressed with what you all managed to accomplish in the time! I think the core concept came across well and the blinking eye was a sweet touch. I originally played with trackpad which didn't work super well with the left/right click controls, but when I got to my mouse it played much better. Well done.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, this beholder brews a mean cup of coffee, well worth the surcharge ;)

Echoing the same! Thanks so much for playing and glad you had a great time :)

Hey, thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed.

thank you for the kind words!

thanks for playing, we appreciate the kind words!

thanks for playing! Your observations are astute and we are already painfully aware of them 😆 Win condition is indeed bugged, we were just happy to get something actually finished before the deadline. I appreciate your suggestion! I think it’s a great idea :)

So glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!

Well implemented copy of bean counters from club penguin. Although the originality could be improved, I really like what you’ve done with the visuals and style of this game, nice work.

Yeah part of the game intention is that you don’t know where the bulbs are and you have to find them. You could always try it easy mode first by going to pause -> difficulty -> easy and it zooms the map out a bit.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah I wanted the last level to be satisfyingly challenging, but I understand it might be a bit much 😆 Honestly very flattered you played all the way until Level 10! Thanks for the note on the tutorial screen. It was tough to balance moving too fast and moving too slow.

Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed :)

It always be level 5 huh

Very cool concept. I enjoyed the style and I really think you nailed the "unspoken stories" wildcard in this entry.

Nicely done! I love galaga and I love enter the gungeon and this felt like a nice merge of those two. Great work!

agreed, a small scope makes for a nice finished product

thank you so much for playing!

Thank you for the kind words. And for letting me know about that bug. I played it so many times and thought I QAd everything haha. I guess the players will always be the best QAers. Thanks for playing!

"Allow app.bodypossession.me to use your soul" was a nice touch 😆 Cool game submission! I wish the pop ups were a little slower so I could at least feel like I was delaying the inevitable restart, but this absolutely hit the essence of "overload".

Thanks a bunch for playing! Glad you enjoyed!

Really well done. I have been looking for typing games to play to practice with my new split keyboard so this is perfect 😆 Loved the simple concept that is really well executed.

I read the warnings on the page too late and got stuck on the printer 😭 Aside from the bugs, an impressive amount of work went into this between all the art assets and interactions. I will say adding some shadows to the environment assets and head bob/vertical motion to the player animation when walking will help the character and environment feel more dynamic. I loved the style and am a sucker for these types of games. Nicely done :)

Neat game! I really enjoyed the animations and art work - well done. I wish there was a clear indicator of the next day transition and game over screen, but from the other comments, it sounds like that just came down to time. Excited to see what you all come up with next!

Thank you so much! It means a lot :)

Nice platformer. It took me a bit to recognize how exactly you were supposed to use the B/right click mechanic of holding it down, but I finally got there and moved on. The platforming mechanics were a little rough for me personally, but it didn't take away too much of the overall game. Great work and congrats on your submission!

Neat idea! I like the little checkpoint sticky notes you get when you overload the PC. I found it a little difficult to understand which things I was able to interact with, so perhaps some more clear indicators like heavily changing the cursor or making the interact-able things a different color would be more clear to the player. Overall nicely done, you should be proud!

Really awesome idea! I enjoyed the tutorial very much and like the style a lot. Unfortunately, the game didn't run so well for me past the tutorial. For some reason all the boxes got all stuffed up and the game was laggy for me.

Other than that, I got the feel for the game in the tutorial and love the concept. I think walking away from the truck to close out that truck menu would be nice instead of having to use [x] but that's just my preference :)

Nice submission!

Cute game! I love the fact that you made this with your 10 year old! It took me a minute to realize I had to use the arrow keys to select my character, I was trying A/D since I typically use WASD for movement controls. Sometimes the level 2 enemy would just spawn and kill me instantly, so maybe a bit of rebalancing on where it spawns would be nice for gameplay. I also thought the double jump for the square character was a bit tough to work with. Overall nice entry and congrats!

P.S I noticed the smiley face on one of the platforms in level 2 and it made me smile too

Nice game! Took me a bit to realize how exactly to throw the bodies into the shredder, but I liked the concept. Really great first GWJ game! Looking forward to seeing what you all create next :)

Yes! Made all the artwork for the jam and was my main focus. I’ve been trying to get better and making art assets and was proud of what we managed to pull off. Yeah we definitely noticed all of that too and have some lessons learned for more play testing before the deadline. Thanks for all the feedback! We’ve already got all of that resolved and prepped for update after the voting period ends :)

Thank you! Appreciate you giving it a play :)

Thank you!! Yes balancing is something we wish we had more time to do and a lesson learned for next time. We're just happy we managed to get this over the finish line. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah sometimes it really just depends on the RNG and what cats you end up with early on. We're so happy you enjoyed :)

Thank you so much for the kind words! Really really happy you found it enjoyable! I totally do the same thing to just boost the stats waiting for the mice to attack when they're deciding to defend a lot.

Thank you! Yeah cancelling an attack was something we just didn't end up having time to implement, but I love the idea! Also yes the cat names would be good to check so you don't get those duplicate names. Thank you for the feedback and we're so happy you enjoyed :)
