Yes! Made all the artwork for the jam and was my main focus. I’ve been trying to get better and making art assets and was proud of what we managed to pull off. Yeah we definitely noticed all of that too and have some lessons learned for more play testing before the deadline. Thanks for all the feedback! We’ve already got all of that resolved and prepped for update after the voting period ends :)

Thank you! Appreciate you giving it a play :)

Thank you!! Yes balancing is something we wish we had more time to do and a lesson learned for next time. We're just happy we managed to get this over the finish line. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah sometimes it really just depends on the RNG and what cats you end up with early on. We're so happy you enjoyed :)

Thank you so much for the kind words! Really really happy you found it enjoyable! I totally do the same thing to just boost the stats waiting for the mice to attack when they're deciding to defend a lot.

Thank you! Yeah cancelling an attack was something we just didn't end up having time to implement, but I love the idea! Also yes the cat names would be good to check so you don't get those duplicate names. Thank you for the feedback and we're so happy you enjoyed :)

Awesome submission! Absolutely loved the title screen and music. I played this with my touchpad at first which was a little tough for doing the things like ranged attack, but it was a lot more manageable when I got my mouse out 😅.

Very cool game! Not often you hear voice acting in these jam submissions. Very well done, congrats!

Yay! Great job beating the King. So happy you enjoyed!

Really great suggestion. We talked about doing something like that but just ran out of time 😅 We will probably add something like this soon after the voting period ends.

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I should probably add the credits to the itch page. We were in crunch mode until 5 min before the deadline 😅. Yes, all art assets are original and done by me. The music and audio are the only thing not original.

Thank you so much! We had a blast making it and I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Really good tips and something we will probably add after the voting period ends.

Edit: I just added the credits, thank you for mentioning that!

Awesome job, love the art! Very smooth character controller and mechanics. I love the feeling of hitting your opponents and the music was a great fit!

Really interesting concept! Funnily enough, I also thought about having multiple character controllers but decided to go a different way >.< Great job! I really love the sketches and telling the story that way.

Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed :)

thanks for the kind words! So happy you enjoyed the game!

ohhh that makes sense, I forgot we put the knock back in there. Yeah maybe reducing knockback for the monster would be a good idea. Thanks for the feedback!!

Thanks for playing! We actually did put about 1.5 seconds of iframes in after you get hit which makes it a little more manageable on the way out if you have the bones for it. It is definitely a lot more difficult to dig back up, partially by design, partially by not having the time to make it easier to jump up into one block wide holes. It’s also very subtle, but if you bark at the monster at the end, it slows down the growth by fractions of a second each bark. Glad you enjoyed it!

Congrats! Good job sticking through it and finding the toy! Judi thanks you!

Thanks for the compliments and for playing!! Glad you enjoyed it :)

I like the originality. I really hope you made all the sound effects and had a blast doing it.

Awesome atmospheric feel. I love the art style and the ambiance the audio provides. Nice entry! I think I found the grappling hook a little difficult to use but that's probably me needing to get better at the game lol.

Really an original idea! The gameplay/controls were a little rough for me personally, but actually gave me some flappy bird vibes and made me want to get better at it! Nice solo entry!

Blown away by the art assets and the music/sound effects! Nice game, I think some more tie ins to the theme throughout the game would be good, but an excellent job with your submission!

Really fun game! The screen got a little busy for me at times, but I really enjoyed being able to have a choice in leveling up my character! Gave me vibes of some flash games I used to play in school.

Good game, like some others I found the controls a bit difficult for platforming, but I got used to them quickly enough. Nice work, really enjoyed the music and art style.

Nice game! I love this style where your choices impact the ending and it makes me want to keep playing to unlock all the endings :)

Awesome game! I really liked that there was multiple ways to defeat enemies. I was like "oh no" I'm about to fall on the snake, and then I killed it. The art and music was very well done!

Nice game! Gave me some nostalgic retro arcade vibes.

Cool concept and I really love the art style! I found the platforming a bit difficult but I really liked the recoil jumping.

Thanks! I hope the monster was a nice surprise, and don't worry, I got myself stuck in the "dig straight down" scenario many a time when playtesting.

八(^□^*) thank you! Judi is the absolute best :) Glad you enjoyed the controls (controller is definitely the way to go).

Yeah the menu and input mapping were kinda jammed in at the last second so they might be a little clunky, but glad you figured it out! A lot of the curse effects were actually pretty simple in terms of just modifying our character controller to swap around the horizontal movement vectors/changing the gravity scalar.  (hope that answers your question about how we did the curse effects :D) Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for playing :)
