Really clever way to implement the Jam’s theme

Wow this such a perfect take on the theme! I really appreciate the simple art, well done. The audio is fantastic, again well done.

Great job, this is really cute. The music and presentation are great. The controls are really intuitive too, especially for something as abstract as "building a snowman".

Wait what?! there is a game with such mechanic?!!

Cool, love the theme and implementation.

Good job!

Such an awesome entry! I never expected a mechanic like the rolling to grow the snowballs to be so satisfying XD

Awesome work!

very cool!! everything felt very satisfying! this has to be the most calming entry haha! i loved seeing the snow roll up as i chased after it. nice job!

Loved the visuals! Reminded me a little bit of the christmas version of lemmings. The accompanying soundtrack gave it a lot of depth.

The controls were clear but for some reason a bit unintuitive for me, I kept making new snowballs when I meant to pick up the one I was rolling.

Really aesthetically pleasant entry all around!

Cute story and loved the mechanic. Wasn't sure how it ended, but it's a great well executed project! Here's a link to my playthrough... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1716824445?t=02h45m43s

The game is really simple but really challenging at the same time! Great work! :D

I liked the progress videos for this game on discord! Fun game too, and man that snowman is a strong dude! Very original idea and good execution. I really like the waveform of the level. How did you do that, is I might ask? :)

Great interpretation of the theme. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thx, I generated the level with just an array of points and 1d noise to set their height. And then  used a line 2d to render it and a polygon 2d for collision. If you'd like more detail feel free to ask.

Since every little update you posted in discord I wanted to play your game. Thanks for this relaxing and cool experience. I like the concept of building yourself again and again and it fits so well with a snowman. It was so much fun to build the snow mans again and again. The level of polishing is very high. I like this little details you added e.g. when switching the snowman feels pretty cool with the visuals and the sound or when walking it has this slightly jumping. I think all in all the graphics, music, sound, control etc. went well. Good Job!!!

Thank you for the nice words.

How cute and cozy and well made. Great work!

Very pretty presentation! The little touches to transition through your animations are very good! The tutorial is a nice touch but could've used some more work, as it is a bit confusing. UX is really hard to nail, so I get it. Good game overall!

Developer(+1)

Thx, would have made a better tutorial if I had a bit more time.

A cute concept, with pretty art style and music. Sorta got confused at the start but I managed to evolve in general. Really clever with the "assembly" and "thermometer" mix.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, I maybe should have spend a bit more time on the tutorial.

An interesting concept, I liked it!  Very nice graphical presentation, and the music fit well.  Nice job on the tutorial images, but I still got a bit confused at the start, trying to hold down while rolling a ball and also making new small snowballs accidentally which got in my way.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, others also seemed to hold down. I can ssee why. I'll keep that in mind next time.

Cute!  I enjoyed it.  only one suggestion I can offer is to maybe disable pressing down while holding a snowball.  I kept accidentally dropping a tiny snowball and then putting the bottom of my snowman on top.

Developer(+1)

Thx, yeah I sort of did that but it doesn't work very well.

Amazing job! I really enjoy this, I think it strikes a solid balance between arcade style gameplay and chill vibes. The visuals are on point, very expressive and readable while also sticking to the 4-color palette! The music is melancholic and non-intrusive, so it really suits the game well in my opinion. If I had a critique for this game, I believe that there could potentially be room for sound effects for rolling the snowballs, and maybe more fitting ones for the tik-tok noise when you switch bodies/are about to melt. This is more of a nitpik more than anything though.
Amazing submission, 5-stars!

Developer

Thank you so much for the nice words. I agree I could work some more on my sound effects.

The concept is supra neat and the execution is crisp, truly amazing

fun concept and physics going on!

The game came out great, I’m so impressed! It took me some time to figure out the snowman had to be the same size.

Developer

Thx, I should definitely have clarified that.
