There was some really sweet puzzle design in here. It was definitely a little "beat my head against a wall"-y for the first level or so, but there are some really clever ideas later on such as making sure you die in a good spot, and making sure you only bring a certain number of instructions to put down so you don't leave extra instructions accidentally. Great job!

At first it made me think of Spelunky, but the programming the mummies and needing to get them home like you would for lemmings is an interesting twist. I didn't quite get how it worked at first, so I'm very glad you made a comprehensive tutorial at the beginning to ease me into it! Also nice easter egg!
Cool idea, love the use of the theme and the concept of making the mummies follow your instructions. Honestly I got past the tutorial and didn't really understand what to do beyond that :( Obviously puzzlers are not my genre!
I was just about to quit the game when the coin flipped :D
I really like the idea of "programming" the mummies and then just die, it's a bit cynic. I like it!
The control was a bit confusing to me. I often hit space to jump causing to erase my instructions. Maybe offering some key remapping would be nice.
Very cool game concept. I had a big big AH-HA moment in this game when I realized how it's actually played. The game teaches you the mechanics and I like that.
Thank you for playing. :) Yeh I'm really regretting the steepness of the first couple of levels. The bottle is hidden behind the blocks in the top left which you can access like this (https://imgbb.com/7zDZFBw) -- again, way to tough for a first level, but I just didn't think of it towards the end of a late night submission! If you come back to it, some of the later level are easier and more satisfying. Cheers.
Really unique concept and the puzzles are satisfying once it clicks! Some solutions are a bit obscure, some intermediate levels which teach concepts could do good.
For example the very first level has you pushing blocks without really teaching that you can do it. And the move teaching bottle is hidden, and it didn't occur me that it could be hidden. I actually left the game and reading comments got a small hint at it. After that the next levels were more accessible. I did 3 levels now, will come back later :)
Finishing the levels was really satisfying! I liked having to look at the level and plan what to do to solve it. My favorite level was 3, once I realized why there were 2 mummies but it said 0/1! I also liked figuring out the new elements you added to each level, like how to reach the corner block in level 3 and having to hit the sign in level 4 :)
Really liked all the things you added to the game but the instructions where fairly confusing (I echo what the other two people have commented). I think a short in game demo of you doing the tutorial level would have helped. Also puzzle one was a bit of slog and I hit "R" by mistake and did not feel like doing it over. I do really like the over all puzzle idea.
It's a nice idea and I actually really like the gameplay mechanic! But instructions were very unclear. For example I didn't realize the yellow vase was "home", initially thought it was just decoration and so wasn't sure what my objective was. Didn't know which blocks could be moved by hitting. Also did not realize you could collect multiple commands at once or that you could delete them by hitting them which led to unnecessary restarts. I made it past the tutorial but stopped afterwards, not due to difficulty but frustration that I had to keep setting up the block for the platforming portion every time I restarted.
Thanks or playing and for your feedback. :)
I had planned to change the pot to a coffin/tomb which would have made way more sense for a mummy, but you know.. gamejams... time, etc.
Sorry that it became too frustrating for you, if you come back to it (or I think I'll re-release after voting) there is no need to restart in the early levels, and the jumps in level 1 can be made by moving the top block 4 times and the middle block 2 times -- in hindsight this is a bit tedious for a first level, some of the subsequent levels are easier and I wish I'd re-ordered them.
I really like the art design of this game, and I can see how this would make for a fun puzzler!
Unfortunately, after I beat the tutorial level, I couldn't figure out how to get past that first level.
Still, what I did play was solid, and I enjoyed it! I wish I could play more.
Edit after playing more levels: I got to level 2. Overall, I think the solutions and puzzles you made are clever in teaching the player how the mechanics work, and are at a good difficulty level. However, completing those solutions did get a little tedious for me (i.e., manually pushing the blocks over to the side in level 1). I figured out level 2's solution, but got held back by my platforming skills (which are not good), so I ended up not completing the level. As a speedrunner / puzzler game that focuses on precision, I can see how this works. For me personally, it's a little frustrating to have already solved the puzzle but still have to take many runs to complete the level.
Overall, I think this game has legs! But I would recommend either making the speedrunning the key focus (i.e., cutting down on any tedious actions, so players can blaze through it if they know the solution) or making the puzzler the key focus (i.e., platforming skills are not as much of an issue - gives the player more control on when they want to leave an action for the mummies).
PS. I love the cameo.
Thank you for playing my game.. sorry about the issue of getting further into the game.
I'm a little worried it might be a bug though, this is how it behaves for me.
After I complete the tutorial...
There is a cracked block in the bottom left, with a number 1 above it. (I've added the red line in a screenshot.)
I can then break the block (jump + down) to fall into the first level.
Would you be able to check if this isn't the case for you? If so, it's a game breaking bug I'll need to fix. Thanks heaps.
