Impressive art, decently polished feel. The difficulty ramp felt good. And I really like the exploding bullets. :-) A success all around!
Really liked how each protagonist had different shooting mechanics.
Fun to play.
very well done, liked it a lot. Only thins to change: Please make it bigger in the browser, or just enable the fullscreen mode. Also a music or sounds (like rain) during the actual game would be cool. Only the shooting sounds get a bit on my nerve, after some time. Everything else: very cool
Hey, thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! :)
Fullscreen option should be available in Settings in Main Menu, and should work in browser version too (it works here in Chrome)
- could you please tell if it works for you? Think I've seen a couple more complaints about this, wonder if that's a bug or just a thing people tend to missSorry, nevermind - I just discovered how one adds a native itch Fullscreen button, think it should solve things now. Thanks again for the heads up!And yeah, it sure could use ambience and some good sound balancing - didn't have a chance to get it polished, will probably try to fix this after the jam
Cool game, was fun to play. Had some nice graphics and the sounds worked well. Add some kind of progression and I think it would keep me entertained for a while.
An enjoyable, well rounded game. Especially enjoyed how each protagonist has a different playstyle, but there weren't too many opportunities to make the enemy-piercing shot worth the extra reload time. Adding the light source was a great idea, made it super simple to see where I had a shot and where I didn't. Thank you for making this lovely game :)
really nice game. The art and sound design were fantastic and the cover system, even though it was pretty simple, worked surprisingly well. The one issue was that I would've liked to be able to go fullscreen in the browser version.
Good art style, I like the game mechanics, it plays really well.
The Michael Bay well-behaved exit of the opponent makes you smile
Your game is heavily inspired by Les Miserables, which turns out to be a good game! Realistic gun shot, nailed it! Lighting, nailed it! The art coloring - makes me feel Levi vs Kenny @ Attack on Titans.
The game is incredibly simple but well executed. This is one of the games you'd expect to play and stick to in Newgrounds.
This has a nice look. I would love to hear some ambient sound, such as rain and city sounds. Sometimes the hitspots felt small because bullets passed through their shoulders. Maybe it reduced life, but some feedback would be helpful.
One of the best games in this jam! The game feels really intense when the enemies are closing in on you as the difficulty ramps up. I also like how the lighting on the character that cast shadows on the cover help with aiming, it's a visual treat and a gameplay enhancer at the same time.
Thanks!
Yes, that was exactly the idea with the lighting - glad you noticed :)
Amazing ! I like the idea of using the angle of the enemies getting closer to dodge less effectively ! It gives you the choice to risk getting shot, instead of just instakilling you if they're in range. Neat !
Thank you! :)
Enjoyed the different characters, each with their own weapons/strengths. I made it to Day 5, loved lining up several enemies and taking them down in one shot :) Good fun!
Thanks! Really glad to hear you enjoyed it, means a lot
Also reaching Day 5 is pretty cool, respect :)
This looks awesome!
Thank you!
