The art style is cool.

Felt the wave of enemies came too slow, so I spent most of my time just waiting for the next enemy.

nice job! I loved the art style

nice space shooter :)

thanks

Enjoyable for a while but the time between upgrades makes the gameplay wear a bit thin...

Developer(+1)

thank you for your feedback. We had hoped to get more smaller upgrades in but didn't get time to implement them

Good game, I enjoyed it. I like the graphics, and the UI was really nice. I do wish there was a bit more progression between waves, the upgrades were very sparse. I also didn't even realize my ship could move for a long time, sitting on top of the planet worked just fine.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. We did originally plan to add additional upgrades but didn't have the time to implement them.  We did notice that not moving was a solid stragey but didn't have time to ensure that moving was needed

Well done with the art work and it's a pretty solid game. The menus are great. I didn't see much reason for moving. Felt like progression was a bit slow. Maybe have the enemies drop the coins or drop extra coins to incentives moving and also speed up the process of unlocking the next ships.

Thanks for the feedback.
I originally wanted to have the coins drop and add when picked up but ran out of time to do so.

The movement and shooting felt pretty smooth and I liked the enemy explosion effect. The art and UI were also well done and looked very clean.

I think the waves were a bit slow and it would be nice to have more enemies on simultaneously during each wave. Perhaps some intermittent cheaper upgrades (e.g. faster movement, stronger bullets, etc.) so that you can buy something right after the first wave would help the pacing too.

Developer

We originally planned to have RPG style upgrades that you could purchase but ran out of time to implement them.

Sound is good.

Solid game a little more variety would be good.

Good job.

The graphics and the UIs are top notch, really liked them and the sound is also on point. The gameplay is a bit too linear in my opinion, and this is made a bit worse by the fact that the waves are quite long right from the start. The game does not really incentivize moving at all (a problem that can be found in my game too), in fact I managed to pass all the waves just by standing still and shooting from the middle of the screen. It would be great if the asteroids rotated around the planet: that (other than admittedly making programming the enemy AI much more difficult) would make the game more dynamic.
There's room for improvement but it's a solid base, good job!

P.S: I found a bug with the shop: I bought directly the third ship, without buying the second one first, but I could use only the first one.

Developer(+1)

we planed to have something like the moving items but because of a limitization with Nav2d mesh were were not able too do so (which our enemy relies on).

Thanks for noting the bug, you should be able you use the third ship even if the second is not bought so some signal may be not connecting correctly.

The Nav2d mesh can be an ugly beast, I agree. Hope you can find a workaround for that!

The slick design brings this game to whole new level!

Solid game! Smooth menus and gameplay! Well done!

Developer

thank you

I plays nice. Love the music playing.

It does take a long time (3 levels) before I could even unlock the first ship

Developer

Thanks for playing.

There is some randomization, so it can be either wave 2 or 3 before you get the first ship.
