Easy.

I really love the thing this game did for the theme! All the puzzles were fun to figure out and I love that there are different solutions for each of them depending on what the dice rolls! Sometimes, it was kind of annoying having to wait for each piece to move when there were a lot of pieces, but not too bad. Very fun trying to figure out the best way to go depending the number of your moves, and I think all the enemies are very well designed!

Really cool use of theme. I thought the puzzles were too easy until the last one. I would love to see an expansion of this game with art,  maybe you can control multiple dice, new enemies, and new levels. I think it would be interesting to have only certain pieces be able to walk over pieces and/or gaps and some should not. Great job.

Cool concept and implementation! Enjoyable game, well done!

Fun concept. It was a tad easy to just lure the enemies close on some levels though and kill them on the next turn since their movement patterns are so predictable. Though it does become more difficult when you have less space to move.

Really satisfying, especially when you get multiple captures from a single roll.

very well

Your game was really fun and interesting! It's a great take on "chess" and it's very satisfying to rack up a bunch of captures in a single turn!

If you were to keep working on this, I think it would be really interesting to further restrict the player's movement in some way (maybe they can't move diagonally, or something) just because I found it a touch to easy. But the idea and excecution is great, and I had a lot of fun.

Well done, and congrats on submitting!

This really is not quite chess. I like how you simplified pieces. You could add a button that skips the turn aminations, because if you have a game over, you should know. Great game overall, and nice music tastes!

I had a lot more fun with this than I expected to! It's a great mix of strategy and simplicity

I really enjoyed the concept! This seems the type of game that with a bit of extra time and polish could become a full game :)

Congratulations!

Really fun game, I love the concept. I may have encountered a bug in endless mode, a level generated with a gap in the middle so there was no way to cross and kill the enemies on the other side. This is one of my favourites in the jam so far.

Developer

Oh, I know about that bug! There's another one where it'll just hang and never load because it can't "solve" the generation. Honestly I'm shocked that more people haven't encountered these issues. I couldn't really fix either bug because of the time limit, but if you refresh the page it is unlikely to happen again. Thanks for playing!

Nice idea, also yay another game that mixed in the theme of chess, personally I'm not a fan of luck which is my only complaint here sooooo il blame the game theme.

I really liked and enjoyed the concept here, it's like a game of tag on where you try to avoid the reach of the enemy pieces. The use of luck is very well utilized too, as I get killed by rolls of 1 and win by getting rolls of 6. Overall an enjoyable experience !

I like this game a lot. Would be cool if, in the future,  you could train the AI, because at the moment they are very predictable. I loved the backgroundmusic as well.

Very nice game, i always wondered what other variations of chess can be made.

The classical music fits really with this game, and the SFX too!

I wish there was some sort of speed scale with the amount of enemies on the board, if theres more enemies than the enemies animations move just a bit faster.

I really dig your game ! The 8th level gave me some hard time, but I finally managed it.

Creative and interesting mecanics, game on point to the theme, nice music choice. Well done !

Awesome Game! I could easily see myself losing hours playing this! On the endless mode I did notice a level that had no way of getting to the other side of the board, but for a 48 hour game jam AMAZING JOB!!!

In this game, getting a six is equivalent to getting that long piece in Tetris. Really cool concept.

I would just make the computer spend less time moving pieces tile-by-tile and just make them teleport to their destination. Having the option to end my turn prematurely would also be neat.

Very fun. I specially love how the pieces move to protect each other even though their movement is so simple and predictable.

PD: I'm ashamed of how many times I got too cocky and put myself in a "checkmate" hoping to get a high roll and capture a lot of pieces only to roll a one.
