Obviously your AI is limited, but it's just good enough to maintain the illusion that I'm actually talking to a cohesive character. Reminds me of ELIZA or other really early chatbots.

I like the minigame format. The art looks very nice and I like the visual style. I never really understood what the different particles on the plants meant. Kept me entertained for all 10 nights (final score 22). I think the farmer got desynced with which plant they were visiting when there were a lot of plants in the field.
Thanks for checking out my game! It was somewhat of an ambitious idea (especially having been made with p5.js), but I did what I could.
Achievement guide:
1. Timber! - Decay a branch so that it and its children branches fall to the ground while the lumberjack is underneath.
2. One in a million - Grow your branches so that one goes above the screen, then wait for it to start raining.
3. Not the bees! - Decay a branch more than halfway, but NOT so much that it falls down. Then simply wait and bees will eventually arrive. Entirely cosmetic.
4. Rooting for the other side - Unfortunately, because of the time constraints of the jam, the lumberjack's AI was cut and he is no longer able to build his house, making this unobtainable. Sorry!
5. I'm cracking up - Grow your roots so that the end of a root intersects with the lumberjack's house, then unselect it and wait. You should see the house start to get shorter.
Such a simple concept, but so well done! At first I was wishing for slightly more instructions on the game's itch page, but through time (and this game gives you plenty of time) I figured out what everything meant. I love the visual style, art, and music. Not the game for everyone, I think, but I enjoyed the slow paced storytelling and worldbuilding.
Great prototype with lots of content! I love the voice lines and the cube abilities are interesting and fun to use. The tutorial was nicely integrated into the game and I knew everything I needed to know in under a minute. There are some issues that I've noticed, like the sound volumes being all over the place and the rockets being very difficult to dodge. It's clear it was made under a very strict time limit, but for what it's worth this is still one of the best!
This game's awesome! All the levels are extremely cleverly designed -- I'm not great at these block-rolling puzzles, but the way the trap tiles are set up naturally lead you to the solution without making it feel frustrating. The sound effects are super satisfying and the graphics are nice. I really love the dice net feature, which made it so much clearer as to how all the faces were related and which would come next. If you don't mind me asking, how did you calculate the rolling of the die? I wanted to use something similar in my game, but between all the different faces and rotations I couldn't figure it out.
P.S. I appreciated the executable version. There have been some other pygame games that were a pain to get running, but the exe file made it trivial. What library/program did you use to compile it?
Oh, I know about that bug! There's another one where it'll just hang and never load because it can't "solve" the generation. Honestly I'm shocked that more people haven't encountered these issues. I couldn't really fix either bug because of the time limit, but if you refresh the page it is unlikely to happen again. Thanks for playing!
It took a little while for me to get used to the controls and to switching pieces for different abilities, but once I got accustomed it was very fun! The chess theme is cool and I like the variety in enemies. Using the knight to jump over gaps is very clever. There's an annoying boom noise that plays every few seconds, but otherwise the art and audio are great!
I really like the random rolling mechanic and the Halloween theme (also the music, but then it stopped ☹️). I wish the enemies came in larger numbers, as right now everything gets killed instantaneously after a few rounds and it gets boring. The upgraded cannon towers didn't seem to be aiming correctly, but other than that I didn't experience any crashing or glitches!
I like the different types of weapons and the controls feel good. I wish the room's rotations were more gradual or didn't break up the gameplay as much. I also wish there were some way to configure controls, as I'm so used to using space for jump that I didn't end up using all the platforms and ladders very much.
Cool idea! It's surprisingly challenging to get close to the target number, but the time limit seems about right. I only realized that you could leave two dice together without an operator to combine their digits by reading comments on this page, so you should add that to the instructions. I think there's an issue with determining the winner, though. Check out this result I got:
PLAYER 2 IS THE WINNER
348 , Player2: 52464, Player1: 347
Cool to see something made with pygame! Unfortunately it's a pain to install. I like the visuals and there are lots of levels, but I'm not very familiar with this style of puzzle so it is very challenging. Good concept, but you should integrate the instructions into the first level and add some sound effects.
The game looks awesome and I love the idea of your piece not only changing how far it can move, but also just how it can move. The tutorial/first level was helpful, but I still didn't feel like I understood everything and in later levels I felt like I lost for reasons unknown. Add some sound effects and some text boxes and this would be amazing!
The coin tile worked fine. I got to one of the triangles and the screen turned black -- maybe I missed something or I wasn't patient enough but it didn't seem right. I think the game also crashed when I tried to click on some tiles during the first few text boxes in the beginning, but I honestly don't remember. Hope that helps at all! You should update with bug fixes once the jam's over.
Also, what did you use to make the game? It doesn't look like the standard Unity fare. Just curious.
