The night going all dark makes for some good spookiness! Silly me used up much of the flashlight when I started during the day wondering if it was meant to reveal anything only for darkness to descend upon me ahahah. I love the title screen art, its so beautifully drawn.

Developer

I completely agree the title screen really is so gorgeous!!! So much attention to detail in a short amount of time!

Having the nightfall for unsuspecting people seems to be a nice trope, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully we can increase the spookiness factor for our next update hehe

This game had a pretty good survival mechanic. The music and lighting change really added to the tense feeling when night fell. I think with a little more polish this could be really great!

Developer

Thank you so much!!! That's very sweet of you to say <3

Really neat! I didn't expect to be jumpscared but when I turned on my flashlight and saw 3 monsters rapidly approaching it was pretty scary! Cool little game, music was also great.

Ahhh thank you so much!

Also I'm so sorry for the jumpscare :")  and thank you for enjoying our game!!

I was honestly nervous when my flashlight went out in the dark, it was great. The music is great. My only complaint would be that the monsters don't go away when it's daytime, and there's not enough traps to kill all of them. At that point the game turns into just endlessly avoiding them. Other than that I enjoyed playing it. Good work.

Developer

Thank  you for the feedback!

I'm very glad you enjoyed it!!!  And the music!!!! My partner did such a good job on making the music, I can't stop listening to it outside the game too, lol. But, yes, the monster bug is a bit of an issue we are hoping to fix soon!

This game is very different from the others I've played so far. I didn't imagine a survivor horror in this theme hahaha

Developer(+1)

Hahaha yeah! I came up with the idea cause I thought it would be funny, lol

Finally, someone made a game without the word "dice" in the title.

I didn't play the game for long; I'd say I played it for about ten minutes before quitting. By that point, I felt that I had seen everything I needed to see.  I'm assuming all you're doing is collecting materials and surviving the night from just one enemy type.

I think my main problem with the game is that it is just severely unpolished. It's neat that you have a story and the art for the title screen looks very nice. Seriously, I wish I had a title screen like that for my game. The music is decent for a horror game like this too. The thing though is that everything else is lacking.  The die mechanic which changes the difficulty did not strike me as impressive; I was assuming all it did was change the number of enemies that spawned.

I am not really sure in which direction you can take this game. All what you're doing is surviving the night from some magnet AI. (Then again, my game has some magnet AI too so I probably shouldn't complain too much.) I would say add more enemies, more creepy sound effects, more hazards, and fix the jagged edges of the map.

Developer

Hello! I completely get your points, we already "committed" to the idea of survival horror a day before the jam, when the theme was released I chose the easiest way to implement it, I wish I thought about it a little bit more to make it more interesting for the gameplay. Thank you for your feedback, this was a good wake up call to really make sure we focus on fundamentals next time!

The a atmosphere you create is really imersive, but you coud show what key turns the flashlight on/of (Really nice Icon and Art)

Developer(+1)

Ahh thank you!!!! That's very kind of you <3  We have the instruction for the flashlight in the description, but we'll soon move it to the game too! Thank you for the feedback!

Title and promo art looks incredible! I like the lighting effects and creepy atmosphere. The top of the map might have some issues and the text on screen seemed a little bit jumbled.

Developer

Hello, I'm glad you liked it!
We definitely wanted to get the atmosphere as solid as possible, at the expense of the UI haha
 Thanks for the feedback!
