Creative one, takes some thinking to solve some of it! my only suggestion would be limiting the rolls.
the black enemy is op sometimes.. but i liked it.
Solid design concept and well executed liked the idea of having to step on notes to read them.
good job, keep it up 👏🏻, good luck ✨🙏🏻
Good gameplay base, the idea is interesting but the randomness of the movement can be frustrating : I spawned several times with a enemy just near me and I have 2 or 3 move points => instant kill. I think the roguelike mode is better, great idea to have implemented it !
Nice concept! The presentation could be improved, but it's a jam game, so that's pretty expected... Well done!
Having to press 'X' every time is annoying!
I like the simple aesthetic and tone of the game. Very impressive to make multiple modes in 48 hours. There is just the right amount of randomness, enough to keep you on your toes but so much you can't strategize. Good stuff.
Fun game! This is a great example of using input randomness, really makes the game.
A really good idea! I'm really intrigued by the idea of a player character with turn based movement that has to account for enemies with real time movement. I like the visual presentation, but think the sound design/music is probably the weakest point. That synth blast when you pick up the sword made my ears hurt a bit. Overall very sold game jam entry though!
Very cool game! Really well polished and super interesting concept. Only bug I found (and this is super minor) was when you would kill an enemy and jump onto the tile they were on, if the death animation hadn't finished the game would register it as the enemy still being there and kill you. Overall this was really well done and very fun to play :D
The game was a nice take on the theme and good overall!
One thing that could be improved on was the enemies and their turns, sometimes it seemed random when they would start to move and the amount of moves they had did didn't always line up with what they would use, maybe a bug?
Fun game. Small bug: sometimes the black enemy didn't kill me. It was weird that I had to redo levels just to kill everything. Flavor text was very well written. Got a laugh or two out of me. I though the sound effects and music were great. Good job.
I had a lot of fun with this one! The game was fun and it was quite simple to learn how to play (I also liked how the notes on the ground acted as tutorials). You did a good job making me think what enemy I should prioritize and how I should efficiently use my moves; would be awesome to revisit this and possibly expand on it. I'm not sure if this was intended, but I noticed a bug where the mirroring enemies were supposed to easily kill me in some cases but instead decided to waste their moves either by circling me or moving to a spot adjacent to where I stood. Overall, very well done!
This game was fun. It wasn't too hard, but made me think. And it was fun to become overpowered at the end.
Hah you made a much better version of this concept than I!
But yeah awesome game and some good jams too.
i thought i was maidenless, but no more!
i did not like the "x" and "z" as "action-keys", in the German keyboard layout the "z-key" and the "y-key" are switched.
Really cool game! I can tell you made the music yourself, you did a really good job!
Interesting concept. I think a lot can be done with these mechanics. Good Job!
The game is quite loud, so I had to lower my volume in the browser from 25 to 2. I'm not sure, but I think that often you have no chance of surviving if the dice fall awkwardly.
Very cool concept. The fact that harder enemies will mirror how many moves you have is very nice. I wish there was a way to auto roll the dice cuz currently theres no reason not to roll it.
Ah shoot good point!
I was skeptical of the random movement element at first but it still allows for quite a bit of skill and there was more than a few close moments where I just barely escaped the monsters. Overall it was a lot of fun! One piece of feedback I would have is to make the animations snappier - many times I was just waiting for them to finish before being able to make my next move. Great job though!
