Great idea, it reminds me of a poker game like this mechanic. I always like to play games like that.

Thanks for playing!

This is like uno and 2048 had a baby, and I absolutely love it!!! My best score is 48 and I played for like 20-25 minutes on hard mode. The art in the background is incredible and just the way the game plays was so much fun. Rated 5 stars for all categories! One thing though, I had 2 dice left 1 could clear a row and the other couldn't do anything, so I cleared the row and was going to put the 1 die that previously couldn't do anything into a clear open spot, but the game ended because I think it thought there were no moves left after I cleared the row. Aside from that small glitch, I had a blast!

Thanks so much for your kind words - and also, thanks for directing me to a bug in my logic! You're right, sometimes after a clear the game doesn't realise that there are now more possible moves. I've fixed it, and will release it a post-jam update once the jam is over :)

No problem! I know you probably are busy and have other projects, but you should port this over to mobile. I could totally see myself playing this when I'm bored in school.

This was a very fun game that my Fiance and I enjoyed immensely. The theme, music, art, and design all come together wonderfully.

I genuinely think this game, as-is, could be put on the app store. Its fantastic.

Amazing job for the game jam!

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for the kind words! Maybe I do a full release after the jam? :)

That was a really well made game! Great idea, great style and presentation, deep game mechanic. I'm very impressed.

Cool Uno style dice game. Really loved it!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, Uno and Set were big inspirations :)

Submitted(+1)

That's a neat idea and would work great as a mobile game!

Had a lot of fun playing it

Way harder than it looks, but at the same time it's super clever and very satisfying when played right. The usage of the theme is great and so is the overall vibe.

How did you achieve this subtle and smooth foliage movement in the background, shader?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Yeah, I used a shader to do random vertex displacement on a 20fps timer

Polished, fun and balanced. Can't believe you made a puzzle game this good this quickly.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I can't believe I finished it *at all*, I'm absolutely exhausted today :)

the seems very fun from the screenshots, but unfortunately i get stuck at a black screen when i open the game :c (Browser: Opera GX)

Developer(+1)

Oh no, you're the second person to say the online version doesn't work, sorry :( What OS are you using, Windows? It works fine on every browser / OS combination I have access to.

You could also try the download version if you have time.

Maybe try out my team's game?

Great concept! I had a lot of fun playing it. The animation when you complete a row looks great!

This game has a really nice feeling. Everything is smooth and feels right. And the mechanic is addicting.

One exception is that the rule are too harsh.

For example, I would expect I can either put a red/green dice or a dice with 4 in the blue circle. But I cannot put anything in that position, not the red 4 nor the green 5.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I agree it could be bit more lenient - I had trouble coming up with a rule that would work in all situations. In the end I decided that you have to match *all* surrounding dice was easiest to reason about - if you just have to match one, the game actually becomes *easier* as it progresses :|

(btw, in your example, you could put a GREEN 4 in that slot, since it would match the right dice by color and the top / bottom by value.)

For some reason, the online version did not work for me but so I had to download the Windows version but otherwise I had so much trying to beat my score over and over

Developer

Thanks for playing! Strange that the web version did not work for you, I've tried a few different browsers and it seems fine on my end. Maybe itch servers were struggling in the last hours of the jam?

Submitted

Most probably. I will try again today and see if it works for me or not
