Clever puzzle concept! I think the isometric style may have done you a disservice because it made the controls a bit less intuitive. Not being able to see the other faces of the die also made it tough, and not in a satisfying puzzle-y way. But once I got the hang of it, it was fun to play!
Yeah isometric was chosen because it's the 2D perspective that shows the most faces. Keeping track of the hidden faces is part of the puzzle! I agree about the controls though, future builds might add some more hints kinda like the legend in the top right.
Nice puzzle, it is very challenging to try to rotate the dice to the face I wanted.
Thanks for the feedback! We loved how interesting of a puzzle system the rolling die is. In a future update, we're planning on implementing a feature that helps people know what's on the hidden sides of the die. That should help make the rotations easier to plan out.
I really dig this minimalist artstyle. And the puzzle mechanics are strong as well ♥
As a bunch of programmers, we're glad people are liking the art! It's great to hear that the puzzles were sufficiently puzzling! Thanks for playing!
Thanks, this was my first try at real pixel art before, and I think I did alright!
My game is based on the same core idea :D Nice game, interesting levels & button mechanics, lovely visual style. The dice moves a bit too slow for me, maybe the speed could be adjusted depending on how fast the player does press the keys. Sometimes the number above a tile is very close to another glowing tile and it is a bit hard to see what the number is (added a screenshot). Anyways, fun game, nice job! Consider trying my game if you wish.
Thanks for the feedback! There's an options menu that allows you to turn the animation speed up. We set the default to be normal because that seemed like it would let people realize what's going on.
A fun little spin on the Bloxorz-like genre. Puzzles were challenging, mechanics were fun, music was poppin. And always nice to see a fellow Godoter :)
Glad you enjoyed! We've all been working in Godot for a while, and it was great for this project.
Cool concept! Pretty challenging puzzles, great visuals and music.
I had a similar idea, but your execution was a lot better! Nice job!
Glad you liked it! We're really happy with how much we were able to get done in such a short amount of time. There's lots of time after the jam to improve execution. Thanks for playing!
Very cool art style! Great work with the puzzles as well! Awesome job!
Thank you! It was awesome to watch you play through it on stream. Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice take on the theme!
Definitely more challenging than our game but way more expandable!
Congratulations!
Thanks! Liked the different vibe your approach took to the idea. Congratulations to you as well!
Absolutely loved this game. I played around with this Idea a bit but ultimately decided against it due to not being good at making puzzles haha. This really got my brain going and I would love for you to expand it with more puzzles in the future!
So glad you liked it! We have a lot of ideas for more mechanics and puzzles, so there will definitely be more to come!
could not complete)
That definitely is a tough position, but it is possible from there. In certain confined spaces, you won't be able to get all of the faces to the top, so you'll have to orient your die somewhere else.
Our games' concepts are really similar. Good execution and creative ideas guys. Good job!
Thanks so much! It's interesting seeing how different the execution is even on games with similar ideas. Loved your puzzles!
