Loved the art and style of the game.

Great job.

Would love to see you create more levels for the game in the future

Developer

Thanks, the art really was the best part. More things to do definitely would be cool. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!

The artwork of this game is really cool

Thanks!

I like the concept, and the idea of your previous run affecting your next is cool. I also think the art has a really cool style to it, and the idea of a boss that's a construct of dice is also very creative.

I'd like to see where this could go with more time and more polish. It definitely seems like a concept with potential. (As a note, I also had web version issues, but the Linux version ran just fine :) )

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you liked the concept and art. And thanks for letting me know that you had an issue with the web version, now I'll make sure to always make a Linux build with any web build. Thanks for playing!

I love the physics of rolling up the ramp and going flying! There are some pretty major issues with the presentation, specifically the dice being very small, but other than that it's well made.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we're glad you liked it!

The lack of air controls is a bit annoying. I think this game could have had a little more depth if you could dodge the projectiles. Also, the first time I teleported back I thought I had died, and it wasn't super clear what was happening. Other then that, the artstyle is very good, and its a good concept! Fun game!

Developer

Completely understandable that it was a little annoying, thanks for letting me know.  And thanks for playing and leaving such constructive feedback!

Nice boss that sencronise with beat, and also dices in the victory screen are very cute :D nice work buddy!

Developer

Thanks! We're glad you liked it!

The UI was a bit cut off so it took me a few tries to beat the boss but I was able too. I really like the art style and use of dice throughout. With some polish this could a really fun little game, good work!

Developer

Thanks! Oh yeah, I didn't realize that the cut off edges would have that effect. I definitely should have done a browser playtest before it was too late. But in any case I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Very nice presentation, and an interesting idea. Good job getting it done :)

Developer

Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed the idea and presentation.

Browser version didnt work. Thanks for providing linux build.

Fun game, but felt like the controls after the launch are a bit weak, it was hard to avoid the projectiles.

Developer(+1)

Yes I must confess I ran out of time for adding air control, so there was actually none. The idea was that the player would shoot the projectiles coming at them, but in playtesting it was just easier to start over and get good RNG. And thanks for letting me know the Linux build was useful, it was a last second decision. In any case, thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback!

Nice game. Bummer that the browser version didn't work though.

Developer

Oh wow that is a bummer. This was the first jam where I got the browser version to work for me, I wish it worked for everyone. But thanks for leaving the feedback. Although I do wonder, is your computer old, or are you using Linux or something? I was just wondering for future reference, so maybe I could prevent it.

On the contrary, I have a fairly high end computer running Windows 11.

Edit: upon closer inspection, it's actually running correctly once I enter full screen. I couldn't tell that it was working as intended because it crops a large portion off the screen when it's not in full screen.

Developer(+1)

That's good to hear! Thanks for letting me know, that's one more thing that will be off my mind in the next jam. Next time I'll make sure the screen resolution isn't broken. Thanks!

The player was a bit small and hard to see. Maybe a bullet counter could be nice? And it felt a bit long before a "round" stopped. For example, most of the time I shot all my bullets at the start and then had to wait like 5 seconds doing nothing. Not too big of a deal, but I'm kinda curious how you calculate that time.  Great game tho and I really like the music.

Developer

That point about the round lasting too long is a good one. I probably should have tried to speed up time after you finish shooting. But to satiate your curiosity the reason it took so long was because it's waiting for the die to stop rolling, and take the number that's on it. Though that's definitely not obvious with how far the camera is from the dice. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for leaving such constructive feedback!

Nice art, on my machine the beast nodded to the beat which made it very impressive.  It took me a while to understand that the dice is on the bottom left.  But once I got it, it was an enjoyable game.  Thanks for the experience!

Developer

Thanks for the positive feedback! Yeah the boss's head bobbing was at first just a really exaggerated idle animation, then we chose some music and all of a sudden he was dancing. Glad you had fun!

nice game, art design is very pretty!

Developer

Thank you!

Nice game, the web version viewport is a little too small, but still playable, music is very rad :D

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the music, my brother picked it. And yeah, I wish I figured out the viewport problem before submissions closed.

I liked the art in this one :)  I think the Web version's window is a little smaller than what the game is trying to display, but the windows version worked fine.

Developer

We're glad you liked the art, I really liked how that part of the game came out. And I'm glad that window being not wide enough didn't hinder you. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Cool concept, love the artwork (especially the victory screen). Fairly one-note right now, but I could see some cool ideas from this seed. Well done!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, it would have been nice for the boss to have more attacks and to give the player some air control to dodge, but we ran out of time. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!

I loved the visuals! The various art pieces you did for the game are super nice and exciting to look at :o

I think with a bit more time, you could really flesh out the depth and mechanics and make it super interesting. I could see so many directions this could go in!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah it definitely would have been nice if the beast had more attacks, and maybe some slow effects and other polish like air control would have really enhanced the game. But in any case I'm really glad you liked it!
