Great game! Also great interpretation of the theme!

Developer

Thank you paperman!

I appreciate it! :D

Really cool game! I really like your take on the theme. The voice sounds are a nice touch.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Appreciate the kind words :D

Not gonna lie, maybe a bit too much reading than I usually go for in games 😅
But the concept itself is fire! Good stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

Yep, I was a bit scared that people would think so.

But I wanted to make a murder mystery and I committed to it :P

You are right tho, I should have probably thought of some other way to make it more fun for a wider audience.

Appreciate the feedback :D

this is a really cool and unique take on the theme, really excellent work!!

Developer

THANK YOU!

I'm really happy to hear that!

Oops i accidentally called someone and the game just finished itself.. lol…. It was a really cool concept though, reminded me of a papers please type game. Really neat stuff!

Developer(+1)

Hahaha oops :P

That makes me very happy. "Papers please" was actually my inspiration :D

Really sick game! The characters' voices reminded me a lot of Dave the Diver, or Undertale, which I appreciated. Very creative idea and great job!

Developer

Thank you!

You are way to kind!

Appreciate the comment :D

My first straight 5 star review. I really enjoyed this very well written and all around polished. It knew the vibe it was going for and just stuck with it. It reminded me of a book I read a while back called Miricle Creek (and i loved that book!).

There were certainly some possible improvements I though of, like being able to skip intro dialogue to get straight to questions the second time through and also having the music play straight away (because that was so smooth and only enchanced the game!).

But yeah, great take and brilliant execution. Thank you!

Developer

Hahah noo way, THANKS SO MUCH!

I'm very thankful for you kind words and input.

I added a fastforward with CTRL to skip until the next choice (which can be used to skip the intro).

But you are totally right, I should have added a skip button that instantly skiped.

The music is true as well.

Appreciate it a lot, means the world! :D

Cool detective very narrative little project ! The only real problem I got when playing was the sound of the people talking that I found a little bit annying while reading but it was a nice story

Developer

Thank you so much!

Appreciate the comment!

I will add a mute button next time :P

This submission really hits on the narrative side, the graphics is nice and fitting, I also liked the sounds used for the voices of the characters. I was hoping that when the interrogator says "noted", notes would appear on the registry with all the suspects, maybe it's a missing feature? Anyway I really enjoyed the game.

I like the fact that video tapes are still around in 2035 :D, but who knows some public administrations still use floppies today.

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you for the nice comments!

Yea the notes where a feature I didn't have time to include.

I wanted the player to be able to write in the notes, but your idea might even be better!

That's actually such a smart way to make it a bit easier for the player.

Thank you for the idea! :D

And yea, the tapes is a joke to some public administrationss still using "ancient" technology.  :P

Thank you for playing!

Really great little mystery game, and very fitting of the theme! I kinda wish you could skip repeated dialogue, but otherwise was very smooth

Developer

Thank you Stephen!

You are right, I should have added a skip button.

CTRL / SHIFT is fast-forward to until choice, but I do understand that you might want an instant skip.

Thanks for commenting! :D

Really interesting take on 'Her story' with the loops! Lots of content for a 96h-jam, which is cool. I feel like the overall experience could maybe be a bit smoother (like allowing to skip the intro/outro of the dialogs, that kind of stuff), but overall a very nice game, and a cool twist at the end :D

Developer

Thank you!

Didn't know about that game, but it looks so cool! Thank you for pointing that out.

Yea, gameplay-wise wasn't the best execution on my part :P

I added the skip button (CTRL/SHIFT) to fast-forward until the next choice, which kind of makes you skip the intro.

But you are right, I should have added a skip button.

Thank you for the kind words!

So thankful that you even played to the end! :D

I love the story. It is very interesting and original. And I like the artwork and concept. But we can't lose the game.  And it would be great if there was a more dialogue. Anyway the game is great, Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Such kind words!

Yea you are right, I wanted to add more dialogue, but I was scared that people wouldn't play it, cause it was too much.

I think if this wasn't a jam-game then I would have made it more detailed etc.

But I def agree with you. Thank you for your opinions! :)

Very impressive game . The story is great. The mystery is a little hard to solve, or maybe I missed some crucial evidence. I wish there were some text explaining what actually happened after finding the killer. Still, I really liked the game.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Yea I wanted to add 2 more articles that would make it a bit more clear.

That's a good idea! A finished case with the summary at the end would be nice.  Maybe a last dialogue with the killer?

Appreciate the feedback and critique! :D

An overall good game that's really different to what a lot of other people did. Good job!

Developer

Thank you Mondee! :D

The art and general audio set a great vibe, and the dialogue + story was interesting too! This could be a great setting for more cases if you’d like to expand upon the game. Well done!

Developer

So nice of you!

I'm very thankful for your kind words :)

Really enjoyed your game – I think the tone and the mystery were really well set. I think I wish I had just one more mechanic to work with besides choose the branching dialog, but overall it's a great piece of work and really feels like a full game so bravo

Thanks so much Dan!

Yea I def agree with you, I was scared that it was a bit boring (gameplay wise).

I'm gonna need to think of a good mechanic to make it a bit more interesting.

Appreciate the nice feedback and critique! :D

This had a great vibe, I could definitely see it getting fleshed out into something larger. Great job!

The cassette tape into the TV was so smooth, and really enhanced the game's ambiance. Really creative and well done!

I'm glad you liked it!

Nice use of the LOOP theme! The way you incorporated it into the core mechanic feels very natural.

Developer

I appreciate it! Thank you. Will check out your game now :D

Really cool! I love detective-esque games a la Return of the Obra Dinn and Curse of the Golden Idol, so this scratched my specific itch. Well put together!

Developer

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Glad you liked it :D
