I think you may have been seeing the bots, which help fill the lobby when there aren't many players. Real players always display their level and name (if you have player chat enabled). If you want to check it out with some other players, send the link to some friends and battle it out!

I want to give my thanks to everyone who played my game this year. It was a lot of work to put this all together in 96 hours, and I had a very special moment today when I looked at the server logs to find that we've had at least one player connect from EVERY CONTINENT in the world (except Antarctica haha)! Thank you all so much, and hope to make yet another fun game for GMTK next year.

This is a really cool idea! The art is really charming too. Great job!

Holy moly I've been waiting for this since Metal Man 2! Finally!

Fun take on the theme, I like it! I got a score of 294. Would be cool to see some new types of prehistoric beasts that come at you, maybe ones that move around more or do something unique. Overall fun and creative game, good job!

Man this was really difficult lol. The timing has to be perfect on some of the levels. Pretty fun overall though, great job!

The cloud pushed me through the floor... But if you can fix the bugs, this could be really fun!

Really unique, love your take on the theme, and love the vibe! The UI is a little broken on my ultra-wide monitor, but you should be able to fix that by forcing a normal 16:9 resolution.

Overall the aesthetic and story was super cool. Great job!

This was a really cool little platformer, nice job! The art and music ties the atmosphere together nicely.

Very cool game, love that it's made for Gameboy. I'll have to throw this on a flash cart some time and try it out on real hardware. Great job!

This has got to be one of the most creative entries I've played. It's a ton of fun and deceptively simple. I love games where the chaos just builds and builds and you become your own worst enemy. The graphics are simple but really pop.

I though the car clones were really impressive, with how they follow your original movements but still somehow know how to dodge and swerve on their own.

This game deserves a lot more attention, awesome job!

This is such a fun game, one of my favorite entries I've played so far! I really like being able to rearrange the beat and power up my moves by doubling up. And including a boss round was a great idea. I'm pretty bad at shmups (and rhythm games) but I still had a lot of fun. Overall really awesome job!

Very meta haha. I enjoyed the humor. It's hard to settle on something that feels fun and in-theme, I like how your narrative explores that. Overall this is a great first jam game, good job!

Really interesting puzzle game! I like how each element is used to solve different scenarios. Would love to see even more elements added, and to see more synergy between the elements (maybe there could be iron bits within the copper circuits, for example, but forgive me if you already made a puzzle like that since I didn't complete all the levels). Overall, fun game, well done!

Neat game! The concept is cool, and the storyline is interesting, I like the horror direction you took with this. I think the sound and art could use a bit of work, but overall great job!

Really cool take on the theme! Being able to store the actions for later gives it kind of a puzzle aspect which is really cool. The graphics and sound are also very satisfying. Overall it's a challenging and fun gun, great job!

This is an awesome puzzle game, nicely done! It's really difficult, even for someone familiar with Conway's, but still awesome job!

This is an interesting concept for a game! I managed to get free. But I also experience some bugs, like the poker minigame being completely broken. If you fix that and expand the story I think this could be a really cool charming little game!

This is a really unique take on the theme. I think a lot of people can identify with getting sucked into negative thought loops. It made for a very thoughtful narrative. Great job!

Cool first game jam game! I think some of the rocks were invisible because I collected some that I couldn't see. But overall great job, I like the humor as well.

Thank you so much! Let me know how it works if you can get a big group!

Your dash move gets buffed as you level up, so it gets easier against bots and lower level players. Thank you for playing!

Thank you :) it was fun to build, but overall, a lot of work. I will probably stick to single player for my next jam haha

Really fun little platformer! Timing jumps with the music makes for a nice challenge.

Cool first Unity game!

Pretty fun, reminds me of Overcooked! Your take on the theme is unique. Overall great job!

Very interesting game. There's a few UI bugs, and I somehow restarted the game while clicking around one of the rooms, so I didn't finish it. But overall I like your take on the theme and the art is really cool!

The gameplay is so simple but very addicting! I like the aging mechanic as progression. Kind of morbid, but also I'm happy Jeremy is working towards a brighter future for the next monkey generation.

This is really fun! Puzzley but kind of frantic at the same time. The graphics look really cool, especially the warping trail behind the player as you run. Did you do the shaders yourself?

Luckily I already had sticky-keys turned off haha. I managed to get a score of 1080 with a speed of 24.8!

Had some weird glitching with the main character making him jitter around a bit, but it was still playable.

Overall this is super cool and fun. Great job!

Great concept! After failing once, I managed to escape in 2:46.

You've already got comments outlining some of the bugs, so I won't go into that. A crafting game is an ambitious project for a first game, especially with only a few days of dev time, so props for pulling it off! If you were to expand on it, I'd say some enemies would be a cool addition.

Overall great job! Looking forward to playing your future creations.

Very unique idea! Hard game. I mostly just kept killing myself on accident haha.

The bots are easy to bait haha. Best played with other humans. Thanks for playing!

Cool concept, I like the idea of beating the same level with the mechanics changed around

Really cool game! I really like your take on the theme. The voice sounds are a nice touch.

Neat idea! Would love to see this expanded with more levels

This is so cool! I like having to manage your time between fishing, driving, and selling. I did encounter a bug where I was stuck holding a mackerel and couldn't cast or do anything. But overall very impressive, good job!

Really cool concept, I'm always happy to see a PICO-8 game. I managed to beat all the levels somehow despite the issues. Great job!

Thank you so much! The "io" genre is what I was going for. Wish I had time to implement more buffs and powerups
