I think you may have been seeing the bots, which help fill the lobby when there aren't many players. Real players always display their level and name (if you have player chat enabled). If you want to check it out with some other players, send the link to some friends and battle it out!

I want to give my thanks to everyone who played my game this year. It was a lot of work to put this all together in 96 hours, and I had a very special moment today when I looked at the server logs to find that we've had at least one player connect from EVERY CONTINENT in the world (except Antarctica haha)! Thank you all so much, and hope to make yet another fun game for GMTK next year.

This has got to be one of the most creative entries I've played. It's a ton of fun and deceptively simple. I love games where the chaos just builds and builds and you become your own worst enemy. The graphics are simple but really pop.
I though the car clones were really impressive, with how they follow your original movements but still somehow know how to dodge and swerve on their own.
This game deserves a lot more attention, awesome job!
This is such a fun game, one of my favorite entries I've played so far! I really like being able to rearrange the beat and power up my moves by doubling up. And including a boss round was a great idea. I'm pretty bad at shmups (and rhythm games) but I still had a lot of fun. Overall really awesome job!
Really interesting puzzle game! I like how each element is used to solve different scenarios. Would love to see even more elements added, and to see more synergy between the elements (maybe there could be iron bits within the copper circuits, for example, but forgive me if you already made a puzzle like that since I didn't complete all the levels). Overall, fun game, well done!
Great concept! After failing once, I managed to escape in 2:46.
You've already got comments outlining some of the bugs, so I won't go into that. A crafting game is an ambitious project for a first game, especially with only a few days of dev time, so props for pulling it off! If you were to expand on it, I'd say some enemies would be a cool addition.
Overall great job! Looking forward to playing your future creations.
