Super fun, I love speedrunning games that focus on movement like this or Neon White. Thanks for the fun time!

There were so many written instructions at the start and I was like "oh boy, I dunno about this", so went ahead and tried running through and getting confused. Then coming back to the instructions after dying I felt like I had a bit more of an idea of what was going on, and I actually really enjoyed it. I still don't know I fully understand the paradox situation and the red ghosts that hunt, but I understood it enough that I felt like I could use it to my advantage and take out those no good cookie-hoarding robots. High marks for creativity! It was an original experience. Nice job!

Super neat little game with great artwork, clear sound effects that help keep you aware of your surroundings without having to look around too much as things get chaotic, and one day I will meet the mothership, I pray

Great job!

Was pretty interesting and I mostly enjoyed it, but got stuck on level 7 and had no idea how to proceed. Was a pretty well executed use of the theme, well done

It was, and you're slimed for all time now my friend.

Thanks for the kind words and for giving it your time! Stoked you enjoyed it

Thanks a lot for the carefully thought out, extremely useful feedback! Having some generic sounds ready to go as preparation for the jam is an INCREDIBLE idea that would have given us at least a place to start and we will totally do that in the future.

As for the puzzles, they're just in the order that I thought of them as proof-of-concept for the mechanics, and being so inexperienced, I spent so much time just putting them together piece by piece that by the time we had only a measly 5 puzzles it was pretty much submission time. Definitely at least reordering them might have been worth the extra little bit of time, and certainly in an ideal world we'd also have some levels that deconstruct the puzzles we have currently and build up to them.

Thanks again for giving it such a thoughtful response and even just your time playing it!

Fantastic use of the loop and creative puzzles. I have to admit, I also couldn't find the blue key and watched the video on the page for the answer, and kicked myself later for not getting it. Audio, visuals, and gameplay all fantastic, well done!

The audiovisual experience was really original and captivating. Found myself starting to hold my breath and bracing in anticipation for the next stage, nailed the aesthetic, so good. The gameplay is just lacking a little something that would activate the brain in a complimentary way to the art direction, but not sure exactly what it is; whether it's for it to be more challenging or have some other element to it. At the moment it's just kinda plain, but it's close to being something fun, I wish I could offer an idea as to what that necessary extra element could be.

Awesome work all the same congrats

Flicking my mouse across the screen for the rapid deceleration on those tight corners to get the best time possible after accidentally doing an impeccable second lap was sooo satisfying. The music and art style are also so great. Great job!

Like others, saw Mark Brown playing it on stream. Love it! The  music is amazing, the mechanic is original, it looks brilliant, can't get enough. Well done!

Wow, we had EXACTLY the same idea! So of course I liked it. Spooky!

*Edit: Just played through the whole thing, we even had similar ideas for puzzles lol but you took it further with the third stage in the forest. Interesting concept! I definitely hadn't thought of that. Creative stuff, great work!

Unfortunately audio didn't make it into the game in time :( But thanks for checking and playing!

YOU'VE BEEN SLIMED!
... yeah that was the produced-last-minute end screen, you beat the game! Thanks for letting us know about the bug; I'm both bummed that you weren't able to play around with solving the puzzles as designed, but also glad you were able to still get through. Better a bug that gives an advantage than one that breaks the game I suppose haha

Thanks for playing!!

Fair enough! Definitely had like 2000 I think, but I could be pulling that number out of nowhere, it might have been more or less. I was buying the most advanced tents for 2k each at that point I think then I had to shut it off

Wow thank you for the glowing praise, it (pardon my language) heckin' rocks to hear when people enjoy something you worked really hard on, so thank you for playing!

Audio isn’t just missing: it doesn’t exist :’(
Unfortunately it was at the bottom of list of priorities for inexperienced jammers like us who just barely got together the final game you saw. We’re definitely adding some after the jam though, and more levels.

Thanks for playing!

Us, too :’)

Thanks for playing!

Hope you felt proud figuring out that first screen though, because we didn’t give you much to work with to figure it out haha. Nice work! Thanks for playing!

Immaculate comment.

SLIMED! thank you

So glad you were able to experiment your way into getting it and that it (hopefully) felt rewarding to do so!

We’re also deeply bummed we didn’t have the time/headspace to get sounds and music added in the jam time, but we hope to put it all together in a future release with more levels that would teach those things you had to figure out through experimentation. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for giving the time and care to make a thoughtful response like that, we’re delighted you liked it!

Thanks so much for the love for the physical media creations! If only our coders could keep up with our artists you'd see way more that didn't make it into the jam. Definitely check our their insta and follow this space for a fuller release down the line that will take in the things people have shared here. Thanks for playing!

Frank Zappa's I'm The Slime was the direct influence for the artwork by our art director; try giving it a listen on your next playthrough ;)

Tutorial and ESC key are things that fell through the cracks due to our inexperience and the time constraint, will for sure fix that for future releases. We feel like this turned out good enough to see it through to a more complete release after the jam. Thanks for playing!!

Glad you liked it! Being inexperienced as we are (only 2nd jam for one of us, first for the other three), we only now realised the ESC issue :'( Bummer we overlooked that. Thanks for playing!

Welp, I both won and lost level 3. The 3rd ball was in the process of teleporting when I got the other 2 into their hole, and I got the game over screen with the celebratory music. I beat the system! And just in time too because I was about to lose it with frustration! Game was very satisfying and infuriating (in the best way) at the same time. Really enjoyed it. The fun piano music was at times pleasing and at times taunting... Great submission!

Would be great if the mouse controls would allow you to direct your sword toward the mouse. It was difficult to orient the character the right way to slash at some enemies and got bonked a few times frustratingly when I felt like I should have been the one doing the bonking. Nice aesthetic and music! Nice job

It was more fun that I expected but I couldn't keep it up as my wrist started to cramp from the petting :( Would like to see the future upgrades and progression but it was just a bit too much for me unfortunately.

Super fun, great aesthetic and art direction. Music was good too, which is obviously important if we're gonna listen to it over and over. Powers were interesting and I could sink hours into this I'm sure. Great game

At first I thought it was just a great puzzle game. Then I saw someone else point out the ability to make a SMILEY. Top notch, no notes. Captured the feeling of games from school computers in the early 2000s.

Haha no problem I saw that text fly by as I was ZOOMIN, so if that was the end I'm satisfied

Breathtaking visuals, music, and writing. Really artfully done! Is there more to the tracing of the constellations than just trying combinations until they worked? I'm a bit of a knucklehead so I was wondering if I missed some clues and just brute-forced my way through. Again, beautifully done, nice job

It was super satisfying to fly around, those speed lines doing so much work to make me feel fast. Liked the CRT shader. Was going so fast though I didn't realise what I was meant to do and I was rocketing basically directly vertically up a wall for a while and suddenly hit a ceiling lol, but what a ride. I went around the blue loop once, was that meant to trigger a win state or something? Anyway, fun time!

Love the bizarre visuals. I wish I were able to figure out what it was I was trying to do, felt like I was able to push some buttons but not others. The aesthetic was cool!

The satisfaction of hitting a GOATED off a skibidi is unknowable until you've tasted it. Loved this little entry, very sweet and was fun. Well done

Our artists working overtime making the game beautiful and understandable, so glad the extra work paid off so you could enjoy the game fully!

Delighted to hear you felt like puzzles were rewarding, that's the best we could hope for. Thanks for playing!

Thank you egg

Love to see people who grasp it and are able to play with it and get creative with it!

Thank you, ditto for your game!
