Nice game, I can see how the pop up start to get insane. I agree with some of the comments that I wish the track was not blocky and wider. Would be cool to add other racers in the future. Nice work.

How does your game fit the theme?
You have to loop around a Lap to play an incremental game that also haves musical loops and the final twist is a loop.

Finished it! I gotta say, even though the controls weren’t perfect, I still got totally hooked — it was fun! There's real potential here.
I really enjoyed the progression especially how at some point I started earning money super fast — wish real life worked like that
Very fun game with a surprisingly good story for a jam game. My only complaint is that the track felt a bit unnatural to go around at first because it was so blocky, but maybe that was part of the point. Either way, good job!
Quite a nice twist on incremental idea. I kinda hated that track was blocky, very unnatural and frustrating just to hit on corners :D Should have made like a real race track.
Progression maybe feels a bit unbalanced and car mechanics could be improved, but quite a nice game overall.
What a great game! I love the layers of interaction that I am contextually switching between. When I begin to get good at driving, I risk a little time and make a choice what to buy... The only challenge I am having is figuring out how to transfer the money I made into my bank account.
You’re too smart for designing this! I usually don’t play any racing games, but everything else in your game made it really hard to put down.
Nice racing game! Easy to control and the game has a nice variety of levels, making it never boring. Great Job!
PS- I ghosted all the phone messages :D
Short and sweet! Cars controlled well, simple but solid, and it was fun trying to improve my lap time. Of course the management aspect quickly took over. Glad he got to have a happy ending! If you decide to work on this some more, I’d recommend adding some light engine/tire noises, maybe some squeaking sounds when you pull a tight turn. Even little bump sounds when you hit a wall. Little bit of audio/visual feedback add a whole ton to the feel of the game. I’d be careful not to add too much feedback because it might mess with the atmosphere of the story, which is pretty gentle. Thank you for your game :)
Really interesting concept to make an top-down, racing, narrative, incremental game. I wouldn't have thought to combine them, super creative and I got addicted. great job!
Loved the task of having to drive while building up your upgrades and car, although at times it felt odd switching between the two (controls wise), as I'd have to slow down to read and click, when I really just wanted to beat my high score. I also really liked the bit of narration and story you added! Great submission!
Nice game, well told story through "simple" gameplay mechanics (I know they don't always feel simple while we're programming and bug testing, haha).
The phone covering up the screen was a great touch, it really felt 'distracting' in a 'let me get back to work' kind of way even though it was your parents texting you to tell you how great you were doing. Also was nice seeing the 'loop' as a built-in mechanic. Yeah, overall good job!
Once i had done 1 idle game generator, I just had to copy paste them and change their skin. What took a lot of times was : balancing the game so the events of the story happen at the RIGHT time, and programming stuff that were important for the story, but would only be used once (like the widget to upgrade your car, or the widget to improve your money/lap, or the timer).
And yes, the phone is supposed to annoy you, that's why you can only ghost your parents for the 3rd message. But by the end of the 3rd cup, you understand where were the real priorities.
The end!! :')) 💙
This game had a really nice progression, and I loved how the narrative unfolded!
The ramp up to the ending is a great use of gameplay to convey the narrative! I wasn't expecting such an emotional moment from a jam game.
Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of people trying hard to find a way to convey narration through gameplay. Sometimes, they are separated and it works just fine. But I had the idea for a racing idler, and decided it would be a good way to tell a story about gridings over complicated mechanics but also career choices.
This is a fantastic idea. An idler mixed with a racing game. Expand on the racing concept and it would be GREAT.
