Enjoyed this game, its kinda comforting and the sonar mechanic is great

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Very nice game :)

It took me a while to realise that I had to do things in the right order. So much so that I spent quite a bit of time in front of the runes not knowing what to do, or in the maze wondering why nothing happened when I got there. But apart from that, they were great puzzles (with lots of cute little animals!).

We did a similar game, if you ever want to check it out ^^

Developer

Hehe it's good then, worked as planned :D glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing

The sonar mechanism in the puzzle is interesting!

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

I liked woobing - I think if you added some more feedback to that action (some tweening) that would've felt better. Good submission otherwise, that "safe spot" at the beginning was a good idea for a breather as well.

Developer

I'm still relatively new to game dev, how do you mean feedback to the woob? Visuals or like the circles having more oomph? How it is now it's just draw circles and lower opacity before poofing out of existence. Thank you for the feedback! And thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Just some gamefeel - like the player tweening its scale (let's say for simplicity, just expanding and contracting quickly) when you press the sonar button - gives that instant feedback, whereas in here - it's just a circle that spawns, which doesn't have that visual impact alone. The circle expansion speed can lerp to a diff value as well so it's slower at the start. Just a combination of things to add to "oomph" as you say.

Developer

Yeah I guess I could have worked a bit more on the game feel than just the puzzles, that's what took most of my time I guess. Even the puzzles feel a bit "dead" when you finish,  start or step on something, so I guess I got that to work on for next time! Thanks a lot for the feedback, it helps a ton.

I like the radar mechanic, and the game is smooth and feels good to play!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

Very cute and chill environnement. I was a bit clueless on the puzzle with the runes, maybe add a bit much more info to guide the player, because with the loop you can't take all the time you want to think about it.

The animal sounds was a nice touch to add more life to the environnement.

Finished just in time !

Developer

The reasoning we had while coming up with the game, was that we wanted to have the least amount of hints around so the player has to figure out himself what to do, and waste time doing so to trigger the loop. We also added the animals so they go and pet them and waste more time :D! Thank you for the feedback and playing our game! And you were cutting it real close :D

A really chill game! Loved the cute sound effects. The woob device was a fun mechanic for the treasure hunt. Great work!

For some reason hearing this definitely not animal voice mooing at me as I'm walking was funny to me. Good game :D

Developer

Moooooo. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I wanna to pet every animal I see.

Great job for this game, tho the character differs a bit too much from the rest. Great job regardless !

Developer(+1)

I should have put a pat counter on each animal as well :D. Yeah for the character it was the artists first time making pixel art, and she might have made him a bit bigger than the rest! Thanks for playing!

Submitted

no worries it's still very good lol, some pieces of advice : try to always make the same canva size for a tile, so then (for exemple, the player) can have it's size in a set number of those tiles, to always have the same pixel number and size!

This was the most fun submission that I have played so far. The puzzles were fun to solve and the time limit was well chosen to give the right level of challenge. I seemed very speed-run-able (The best I got was 1:47). I also made a game with time loops, I like to see other people were thinking similarly.

Developer(+1)

That is indeed a fast run! My best I guess was 1:53 or something like, was just making sure the time limit wasn't set too high or too low, but I'm glad to see that it was the right amount! Thank you for playing!

Very nice visuals and world design! I didn't quite understand the woob at first, but I got the hang of it.

Developer

Yeah I guess I could have made more info on the woob. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Interesting concept, I'm a big fan of time loop games! The world was cute, took me a while to find out what the woob device was for. Keeping knowledge from previous runs is always cool, but I did think I could apply the knowledge in any order and was surprised to find myself locked out of things until I'd completed other things. Nice work though, chill vibes

Developer

The main reason why I wanted to have the sequence of the puzzle, was for the last puzzle to be the drawing of the loop :D! But yeah I guess having the playing maximize the route for a faster run would have been also an option. Thank you for playing!

I had problems playing this. I couldn't pick up the treasure chests and had problems petting the animals so. Sorry. Also pro tip, Never just scale up pixel art sprites. It never looks good.

Developer

Which treasure couldn't you pick up? Some animals are far from reach so you can't pet them, I'm sorry. And about the pixel scacling yeah I know, but we are still learning to work together and all that, so it was a learning experience. Thank you for playing and your feedback!

A good idea for treasure hunt puzzles.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Absolutely love the music and of course the sound effects - very cozy feeling! Loved the starting area with all the animals.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Loved the soundtrack, animal sounds, "woob" sound, with a really interesting game idea! I enjoyed finding the different set pieces and seeing what you all cooked up! My only gripe is I wish I could see the timer or at least have some sort of way of knowing how much time has passed? Lovely idea, would love to see a full game based around it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! My idea of the hidden timer was to enjoy the game without really feeling pressured by the time, maybe I should have added a way to hide and put the timer on screen. Thanks again!
