Fun little stressful game but i cannot help but gamble all myu money every time lmao
Great job and very good use of the theme!
I did not quite get the use of the timer but i was a fun game :)
I really like hard plateformer but i did not quite get all the mecanics (like wall jumping). Also, maybe consider not be able to go back in past rooms !
I unfortunately did not finish the game but it was quite enjoyable (maybe a bit less slipery next time)
Great job and be proud :))
Thanks a lot for playing my game!
I had the same pacing issue last year (it was a game that i looooved making but was a puzzle that could take a while, it was outer wilds inspired) and i tried to do it better this time but did not succeed lmao.
I like kinda slow paced games and i felt like a black hole absorbing the universe should be kinda slow paced at the end to accentuate the void effect yk.
Thank you very much for playing hope you enjoyed it!
Very creative and peak game lmao! The portal vibe was one i tried to recreate in the gmtk 2024 jam but couldnt because my mechanic was too time consuming, but you did it PERFECTLY!
No glitch in sight (maybe one i'm not sure if the final hole is supposed to just be a hole or a tp, i did not get the scond option when i played) and a lot of polishing made!
Very good job it's really good!
Fun little game. Really unforgiving at time lmao but oh well that's the fun of it lol. I just wish there was less control when we're in the air, it made overshooting jump pads and wall jump a tad difficult :/
Also maybe consider using an input buffer for wall jumps, because i usually look at where i go before jumping, leading me to being unhook on the wall i was on lmao
Very fun fast paced little game ! good job :)
Uhh ? I was so sure the mechanic were simple enough to be obvious lmao, I now know I need to work on that lol. Thanks for the review!
Clicking does spawn big black holes, but there is a cooldown (there is a slider in the bottom right of the screen and a sound effect for when the cooldown is done) ! The main mechanic is absorbing the matter and getting through different stages of size!
There is not really a "matter route". Every upgrade is towards a faster absorption of matter. The thing you saw in my page was certainly "But in the end.... The choice is yours" that...
...directly references the end, after you absorbed everything, where you can choose to either *consume the black hole* to quit the game, or *create a new big bang* to try again (with a multipler)
I'm thankful you played my game and hope you enjoyed it nonetheless:)
Thanks a lot for trying my game !
Yea I figured I needed more upgrades but I had issue with balancing since I had no playtesters :(. The other motivation to not add new upgrades is that it's mostly in end game, and I wanted to enforce the fact that you consume the universe, and have a bit of a retrospection and void effect.
Unfortunately I started developing pretty late in the weekend so I couldn't really play on the "different gameplay" side and I went to the "big numbers go brrr"
I did not really understand how to play? like yea i could sabotage but i did not manage to figure how to get more points (i got 4 stars on my first try tho lmao don't know how)
But well i still had fun to see al you could sabotage and even if i did not get a really high score in the end, the game was really enjoyable!
Good job and be proud
I totally understand, i'm not an artist myself (well, game dev is a form of art but you know what i mean) and i am more leaned to deep backend.
I tried to go a bit lighter this year on back and more front but the fact is that my scripts are giants (especially the variables) lmao.
I'm just wondering how did you do the multiplayer thingy ?
Really fun and chill game, while maintaining a certain stress. It's really well balanced and every minigame is fun to play with. My first minigame was the circle with squares on it, my first though was "omg i always wanted to play this kind of game"
The only downside is that the flavor text of the bosses were disappearing too fast and i wished i could know a bit more about them
THE MICE
The mice are my archnemesis in this game i know it!
The controls are very intuitive, except the fact that you don't need to spam to shoot lol. I like this game a lot bc it's like a mix of Enter the Gungeon and The Binding of Isaac, two games i like a lot.
The only downside i had was the lack of mapping and the fact that when you find the exit, you can't go back to clear the leftover rooms and relics. I suggest you check Cult of the Lamb. Theirdungeon system is really polished: The exit door is obvious, and feels like a checkpoint, so that you can go back in the map and clear if you want to.
Overall a really enjoyable game!
Let's just pretend this is a GMTK Jam 2026 comment
I survived for 224 seconds ! (Which is about a bit 3:50 something like that)
(Just so you know, i like to criticize games because i think that it only allows for better skillsets in the end)
I like how you used the theme in a way that i didn't really think of. I am a big fan of survivors and this game was really fun to try and Beat 'em all.
Unfortunately, it lacked controls explainations in game and i found myself lost for the first few seconds of my gameplay. I recommend you check the game The Binding of Isaac to see how they did it, I think it would really suit your game style. I know you added them in a comment under your game but you could also put them in the description of the game, a lot of people don't check comments before playing!
If i could make another recommendation, i would have added cursor, like on the edge of the range circle, showing the ennemies direction. I found myself getting attack from a clock that never appeared on my screen.
Overall the game is a really fun little survivor and i really enjoyed it :D
