thanks for trying it and for the bug reports!!

thanks for trying it! I've got all the bugs fixed so post-jam, if ya get a chance would love to hear what you think!

neat idea! I loved the spritework and enjoyed discovering I could creatively use the bombs to get rid of the crabs!

all credit to the great videogamedunkey

aww that's such a bummer because there are like...18 characters lol....but thank you for playing anyways!!

I like the idea of not having the paper in the corner... maybe I'll make a post-jam version with the fixes and a hard mode! thank you for playing!!

thank you for playing! I had some issues with the sound settings at the last minute which ended up breaking everything LOL but y'know how it goes!

thank you for playing and leaving bug reports! I'll get it updated post-jam with the bugs fixed 💖

I had fun just running around and removing the walls haha. I liked the idea of adding another option to Digseum-style mechanics and it was neat to get some long-term goals right from the jump! I only wish I could do something with my extra goodies...

the ending was...surprisingly sweet and touching. thank you for sharing your art.

art was so great!! I'm so impressed by all the different characters and options for such a quick jam! personally, I would've loved some sort of game-offered direction like a time limit or a kill-count goal!

the soundtrack slaps and it sure feels good to shoot thanks to that chunky shot sfx! It's maybe a little too much to ask for a game jam, but I had to stop playing after about a minute because the extreme screenshake was giving me a headache... a slider or a toggle would be nice!

ohh yeah I think there's a bug in this version where the location popup will show for a Crinchure Location even at night-time. the new area should still be there when you get to the next day!

dang...I'm so sorry to hear that! glad it fixed after you restarted, will make sure to have those crashes fixed for the Steam release!

ah - they don't show up at night, but I'm now realizing that's pretty silly! thanks for pointing it out!!

really delighted to stumble upon a complete, engaging experience on a whim. thank you for sharing, looking forward to seeing what's next!

thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I liked the idea of picking upgrades for the enemies too! the moving of the background gave me a headache though :(

I really enjoyed playing and found the story really interesting!! my only gripe is having to continuously charge the flashlight + the flashlight charging sound got a little annoying. had fun though!

I really loved the style of the... suns? and the game is fun! my only feedback would be to add some feedback when the enemies get hit so they don't feel like such bullet-sponges haha

I really enjoyed driving around in the bowl, but the shaking text gave me a headache 😭

oh FOR SURE! but I'm glad you had a good time with our recreation xD thanks for playing!

thank you so much for playing!!

thank you so much for your kind words and bug reports!!

managed to get the word, but I think I alt-tabbed too many times or something because I got a freeze during "someones" dialogue (right after that naming) - will definitely run it back when I get a minute!

these are some WILD bugs LOL. thanks again for playing, and leaving so much feedback!

I'm very curious to see what happened with the blank cards...that shouldn't ever be able to happen xD

IT IS A LEAF EATER CAMEO! Actually, the first two and the final cat are all Leaf Eater Cameos! Rhyminy Pinch is a relatively-new addition to our house xD

I'll do a little write up on the AI - i had a lot of fun making it and it's definitely not "the best", clearly, but it is a little bit more in-depth than just the probability scaled with card amount (although I few of them have that!)

thanks for the report! will see what could be wrong here xD

that's so interesting - I never even had an NES! where did my brain see this??? maybe I'll see if I can figure it out xD

thank you so much for playing!! I can't take credit though, it's heavily inspired by Cheat on Neopets (which is itself inspired by BS/Peanut Butter/??? probably a bunch of other names xD)

thank you so much!!

thank you so much for playing!

thank you so much for playing!! with all the feedback I think I might need to make that future update haha

LOL I'm glad you think so! Wunjuwun would probably run away with the bag in Poker tbh, he's got that unblinking boba stare

thank you so much for your kind words! sorry to hear you ran into bugs, will get them cleared up shortly after the jam so ya can play again if you'd like!

thank you so much!! (our artist is self-conscious)

thank you so much for playing!!

really loved the art and the vibe of the whole thing; tapping on those buttons has gotta be the "dark souls of rapidly pressing a button" though xD

I really loved the art style and the concept of the game! I...wasn't able to get past the first level but it looks like I just didn't understand pulse, woops! I thought it was just the self-poof to restart xD

i loved the art and the animations on the enemies! it seemed like I should have been able to move around but I wasn't able to figure that part out.

the full-screen seemed to break things on my ultra-wide but that's a me problem haha.

thanks for playing!

bummer about those visual bugs! it is, technically possible to play a legal hand of....6*4 of the same card (5 per 4x Rat Swarms, and then the 4 that start in the deck) and although that particular situation is pretty unlikely, a single Rat Swarm leads to 9 copies of the same Rank in circulation... all that to say: it could still have been a bug LOL. I really appreciate you playing and leaving bug reports, it helps a lot!

I can see where you're coming from on the theming - after playing these other Jam games, I definitely could have leaned into the loop theme more!
