How does your game fit the theme?
You are given a grid to create buildings for your city where the scale is constantly shrinking. Careful placement is required as your once big city will eventually just become a single square in another city. Since level requirements also scale up, buildings must be prepared in optimal positions.

this game is so genius !! love this game design so much ,and animation are so smooth, wish for a completed version to play

Awesome idea! Unfortunately, when my grid first scaled up, none of the cities would complete for some reason. Reading the other comment, it's perhaps due to the fact that I had an incomplete building at the first scale-up, and thus couldn't complete the building.

I'd love to see this become some sort of idle game in the future.

Really great tutorial - I wasn't always sure why my buildings didn't complete. But I love the influence from the "mini" series, the aesthetic was super solid in this entry. Nice work.

Developer

Yeah I think I made the logic too strict. It wouldn't recognize the building if you had other drawn blocks even if the correct shape was present. Thanks for playing nonetheless!

Fantastic! As a fan of mini motorways and mini metro, I really enjoyed this. I wish it was turned into a full game!

the tutorial was really clear, the game felt polished. I was expecting the fact that the city was slowly growing to be your interpretation of the theme, but then the twist came and it was unexpected. Loved it

This was fun! I enjoyed playing - scratches the same itch as some board games I like :D

I really wanted to try this game, but the game didn't load to whatever resolution it was made for, and anything but it made the clicks register somewhere else on the map. Oh well, concept is great (love the idea of getting promoted and still gaining income from the smaller town) and art look wonderful.

Developer

Ah darn. I only realized the issue on some browsers after the fact. Godot and Firefox especially seem to not like each other. I'd recommend restoring down the pop-up window down instead of maximizing it if that is the case. Thank you for the nice comment nevertheless.

This is nice, some sound effects would have gone a long way! I'd love to hear the buildings ding when they pay out. Maybe some sort of log would help you see which buildings are doing what

Developer

Oh yeah, I definitely regret not adding some sound effects to the game. But sadly I lost track of time.  Thanks for playing the game and your suggestions.

I couldn't play the game. Simply don't work here, but i love the concept! I wish to become a full game

Developer

Sadly the game seems to have issues on some browsers, especially Firefox. I'd recommend keeping any pop-up window restored down instead of maximizing if it doesn't load on the original page. But thank you for the comment, the game was fun to make so perhaps in the future. :)

I love love loved this game. I literally couldn't stop playing, even though I knew it was hopeless and still have so many games to rate... I normally don't like these kinds of games and I could not stop playing. send me a message if you ever release it on steam so I can pick it up 😊

Developer

Reading your comment makes me wish I dedicated more time into balancing. I'm really glad you enjoyed your time despite it being all over the place. Once the jam ends, this game will surely be queued up for some updates. Thank you for playing!
